Either comment here and I'll share it with them or better yet if you
have the time send their Electronics Sales Department an email:

I'm not aware of any other dealer that currently offers no interest
financing options (especially for this long). This would be a great
position for them. People in the Mid-West are probably familiar with
the company, for everyone else check out www.nfm.com if you want more
info. They almost always have an 18-36 month no interest option
running.
If this were available I would buy a new Stern, otherwise I will
likely continue to buy only 2nd hand. I think there are likely many
others in this situation. Please chime in and I'll share this thread
with them.
This would be nice for ops. esp with good solid titles. ie pirates
lotr etc.

If they offered no-interest financing, we'd all be fools not to buy
from them!
Would they ship to CA :-)
I would definately finance an Ironman with them!

I have to think this would never fly. The mark up on the other items
they sell on time is probably so great they can afford to charge no
interest. Unless they marked up the price, I doubt they could sell
pinball machines that way too.
Merchandise going to towns that are not served by our trucks will be
shipped via common carrier or nationwide movers.
If you have questions about your delivery please call 800-359-1200.
For Common Carrier Delivery/United Parcel Service (UPS) . . .
We can tell you the ship date on merchandise, but cannot tell you
specific delivery dates for common carriers or UPS. Rural customers
can expect dock-to-dock delivery. Residential customers will have
merchandise delivered to their driveway. Common carriers will not
unpack or set up your furniture. Additional charges may apply for a
common carrier residential delivery.
If you have questions about your delivery please call 800-359-1200.
You make a good point... the mark-up on furniture is typically 100%
(which explains why it's always on sale).
But, to answer the original question, yes, I'd drive to Des Moines to
pick up a pin if the bottom line made sense.
Good luck
I'd be in it for the new Iron Man pin if this happened...

I just sent their electronics sales rep the link to this thread via
Google. Your comments will be seen.
Count me in for Iron Man depending on the price.

They need to make money somehow for them to make it worthwhile. 20
months to have money tied up is a long time. I would say the game
price will be padded to make up the interest difference Unless they
can match the $4200 or whatever Costco/Sears price how is it worth it
to them ?!?!?
Count me in for a Tron. ;)
Yes, You can borrow money for free in today's economy. It is when you
miss a payment. BAM!!!!!....What they expect is you or others missing
payment and that makes up for them giving away money. In most cases
0% financing is exactly that. They make up money when payments are
missed.

As far as people with good credit not qualifying... I've never heard
of anything like that.
I have excellent credit, and they just keep upping the amount that
they'd let me take out. I never run that much debt up though.
Usually just one maybe two items at a time. Their bills are very
straightforward on what needs to be paid and when so as to avoid late
fees and interest. And the payments are always applied in the proper
order if there are multiple items. Like I said before I've never paid
a cent extra with them.

$4200 borrowed x 30% @ 2 yrs = $3568.00 INTEREST
Now, do you know why they offer such GOOD DEALS to us consumers ?
Pecuniary Bob
I sent them an email.
Thanx for the post,

I bought a Kubota tractor and accessories for 0 interest and it
worked out fine. I paid $250.00 for 40 months. Exactly the $10,000 it
was supposed to be. Bruce
I would buy from NFM!
With online banking just set up an automatic payment and you don't
even have to worry about forgetting.

Spending my monthly allowance on one on the other hand... that's no
problem at all! ;)
... and yes, I have an allowance. :(
I think it's a great idea. I've purchased furniture and other stuff
with no-interest financing over the years. As long you're responsible
and make the required payments early and/or pay it off early to avoid
the risk of all that accrued finance charges being tacked on then it
is a good deal. It can work out nicely for the buyer - but don't screw
up! What would the accrued interest rate be that someone would face
if they missed the payment? Something outrageous like 30% or
something more reasonable like 15%?
Living on the West coast, I've never done business with these guys so
I don't know what is typical. I suppose shipping costs would also be
factor to consider but I'd be interested getting more information and
possibly buying a new game this way. Count me in.

Would NFM get them direct from Stern and become a distributor, or
would NFM have to get them from a distributor (how much of a mark up)?
The financing sounds great, but the bottom line will be, how much will
the game cost?
If I can get a game shipped for $4100 paid in full, I'd rather do that
than pay $5100 no interest credit.
Any game currently in production by Stern will be available
(Shrek,BBHP, IM)?
