I sold this game to a guy and it has now developed a problem. When you
turn the game on it will either:
- Start up fine,
- Pause and then start up w/o any background music (speech works
though), or
- It doesn't start, displays are blank and on the MPU the +5v LED is on
but the other two (Diagnostic and Blanking) are both off.

I have checked the voltages, connectors and solder joints to the power
board. Any other ideas?

He has been patient, but I am now lost.

I appreciate any suggestions you might have!

If he has the game on an extension cord, remove it- these games can
experience line drop from an ext. cord. Had this problem with a White
Water a few weeks ago.

Check also the ground pin in the 12-pin rectangular connector on the
power board- this is a source of no-boot and re-boot problems.

Try swapping in a different power board if you have one, or consider
replacing the filter cap for the 5v circuitry.

Sounds like a power problem to me.

Good luck!
