Mike,
Make sure on the 14 transfer
relays, each coil armature rests right
at the edge of the other armature.
Make sure also that these armature
edges have been cleaned up, and there
is no debris of any kind obstructing
the mechanical travel.
You shouldn't need to replace
the switches, but cleaning them well,
and getting the bumpers as sensitive
as possible would make for a better
player on this one.
This game was one of the first
games I played as a child. I remember
getting real excited when that big
translucent "Spechul" Lite lit, (not
knowing what the hell I did to light
it), and all eyes turning to watch my
performance when I happened to hit it,
probably the root of my addiction.
Nowadays, since I'm able to
aim my shots, etc, the game seemed a
little disappointing to me in that 9
times out of 10, it's the red
sequence that is completed, (all
direct flipper shots), and that over-
sized drain between the flips, yuch!!
