I need to buy a bunch of parts and also wanted to pick up a 2008 calendar at
the same time. Which vendors are selling the calendar? I was hoping Pinball
Life would start selling them (I sent Terry an email expressing this, but to
no avail).
Thanks for the help.
Chris

Hi Chris,
I've still got a few left. But for one stop shopping here is a list of
vendors that were carrying them. Gameroom is sold out, others may be
too.
Bay Area Amusements - www.bayareaamusements.com
Gameroom Magazine - www.gameroommagazine.com
Little Shop of Games - www.littleshopofgames.com
Lucky Ju Ju Pinball Gallery - www.ujuju.com
Marco Specialties - www.marcospecialties.com
Neptune Beach Amusement Museum - www.nbam.org
Pinball Magic - www.pinballmagic.com
PinGame Journal - www.pingamejournal.com
Pinrescue - www.pinrescue.com (taking pre-orders)
Pinrestore.com - www.pinrestore.com

Pinall Heaven in the UK had them too as well as Marthin Weijdo at
Slamtilt (Sweden).

Thanks for the interest,
Alex Fuchs

I should mention Pinball Life will likely have the 2009 version.

Good to hear that Pinball Life decided to step up. Seems odd to me that not
every pinball vendor sells this! I've got mostly older games, so most of my
shopping is done with PBR and Pinball Life. Thanks for the list Alex!! Now
to do some shopping. :)
Chris

Alex, I was going to buy a calendar from you this year,
but my wife said if I were to buy another calendar,
she said she'd shoot me! lol Sound familiar? lol

Alex's calendars rock and there is usually a good
smattering of rare and uncommon games for us to feast
our eyes on. But...

Being a semi-professional photographer, I was thinking
about starting my own pinball calendar. Mine would feature
nude or semi-nude women I find in local bars to pose next
to the machines. I know, I know... Janesville women are
comprised mostly of second run, b-class, buffet eatin',
blue eye shadow pancaking, war-torn, tattoo'd, sweatshirt
sporting, pajama bottom wearing, dope and or cigarette
smoking single mothers that think watching Nascar and
Football are the keys to a man's heart.

Well, let me tell you - it's a damn good thing I possess
the Photoshop skills necessary to trick any guy into thinking
Janesville women are all that and a bag of illegitimate
child bearing chips.

So... what do all of you think? We've all had at least one
of those sexy tool calendars for years... why not have a
sexy pinball calendar to pin up next to our beloved games?

And if your wife complains, remember - you are a MAN, not
a muffin!!

Well....
Personally I'd prefer some mashup of pins and Suicide Girls :-) ,

but seriously: first of all, I can use the current Pinball Calendar at
work -- no chance of that w/ cheesecake girls. Second, I suspect
you'd lose the entire female pinfanatic market with such a calendar.

Alex and I have discussed this. I will be "all in" next year.

How about a calendar with more modern pinballs featured? Too many
EM's on these for my liking. Let's see some classic 80's early SS
from Williams and Bally and some of the more popular 90's DMD's.

Thanks!

IMHO.

Why would you want to see pictures of games you see everyday? I know I
wouldn't. The more rare the better I think. Eventually he could get around
the " everyday, cookie cutter games " but why so soon?

Hey John you should be pretty darned happy to see February's pin then :P
I agree with you, too. Imho the older EM's and PM's had much more
photogenic artwork for things like calendars. Modern games have too much
detail going on to really photograph well as a whole. Close-ups of
certain sections of a game photograph well, however.

I have to agree 110% with these sentiments. The older games really do it for
me and are so rarely seen. I wonder how feasible it would be to put out 2
different calendars? (although I think I know the answer to this....just
thought I would put it out there)
