they don't score or pop - turned game on and they aren't working - any
idea if it's just a fuse and which one to look at.

thanks ed

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but if they do not score then it
should be the switch matrix or a wire from the switches. The fuse
would stop the coils from firing the high voltage but the switch
should register.

Do the slingshots work or score? They are on the same column as the
three pops. Trace the Green - Orange wire for a disconnect.

Sorry, very confusing schematic when looking at a PDF file.

Fuse F1 is a 2-1/2 amp, and seems to control the 25 volt line to SOL
17, 19, 21 ONLY. So as long as everything else is fine this should be
for the pops.

Check your TIP122 at Q73. It's probably blown...

You'll probably benefit from a beefier transistor – a TIP102.

You'll also need a new 2.5 amp slow blow fuse to replace the one that
more than likely blew when your TIP went out.

Possible, but why Q73? This is the right pop. It could be Q73. But if
it is caused by a transistor it could also be Q75 or Q77.

If he replaces the fuse and a pop locks on whrn the game is turned on,
then it blows again it is probably a Tx. But depending on what pop
locks on would be what Tx is causing it.

Right pop - Q73
Left pop - Q75
Lower pop - Q77

Agreed! It could be any one of those three TIPs. On my Taxi, it was
Q73. He should check all three. My guess is one of them went bad
casusing the 2.5 amp slow blow fuse to blow, which in turn casued all
three pop bumper to stop working.

Good luck,
Jeff
