FT: ToM in Minnesota

Hey Guys,
Got a ToM not too long ago thinking the wife would like it...she
doesn't, so it's on the block.
I am in Minneapolis, and would prefer something relatively local.
Would be up for a drive, but not more then a few hundred miles.
Would consider the following:
CV, WH20, LOTR, TSPP
All of these would be plus or minus cash as need be.
The ToM is very nice. I installed a new Pinball Inc. main ramp. as
that was the one major flaw that this machine had. The cab is not
perfect, there is a ding on the front, I am including a closeup picture
of that imperfection. The game has the motorized saw mod, and the home
ROMs. Playfield is very very nice.

If you find someone stupid enough to deal with you, perhaps you can
use the funds to refund those who you have taken money from and not
delivered a product to?

Not trying to stir the pot here, but what's up with the Genesis ramps?
I know people waiting on those or a refund at this time :(
Good luck with the sale, I think TOM is a great game. If you were
closer, I would consider it.

As I have said before, I am in contact with my manufacturer, I told him
that he either needs to get me the ramps, or the money. I don't have
any of the money that people have paid, it all went to the
manufacturer.
One way or the other, people who ordered will either have ramps or
refunds.

business so cut him some slack already. how many delays does gene have
when making machines? How often are repo pf's delayed? If you want it
immediately go find nos or don't whine about it.

I would have no problem if he had been honest with me. I've received
nothing but lies from the guy. Not a word from him since April 29th,
until today when I replied to his for sale post.
On February 24th he told me he was holding a set for me, I sent him
money, he replied that they would be going out within two weeks.
March 21 he apologizes for the delay and tells me they'll be going out
that week. April 29 "We are working on it. Thanks for your patience."
Other people received their ramps, I was under the impression I was
purchasing a product he had in hand. He didn't inform me that this
wasn't the case until a month and a half later.
Sure, it sucks that he got in over his head trying to help the hobby,
but he still needs to handle things like a responsible adult. He is
having problems with his manufacturer, this should not be my concern.
Today I get an email from him offering to send me the ramps the molds
were made from "if" he can get his manufacturer to send them back.
I'm not sure how many other people he still owes ramps to, but that
doesn't sound like a very good deal for them!
Yet the guy continues to conduct business as usual here on RGP,
offering extra cash in a trade?
Jeez, YenningComity, give me a break.

I am sick of this. I offered Cody the original ramps because he has
been complaining about the colors, and the wait time. He doesn't seem to
want them. It is also a lie that he hasn't hear from me in "months". I
have been sending updates to everyone who ordered ramps, him included,
on at least a monthly basis, and replying to every email I receive.
To everyone else, the ramps are being made, there have been delays, I
have updated you.
I don't think its fair that Cody is stocking every single one of my
posts now, I am in communication, and have been all along.
This trade post has absolutly zero to do with the Genesis ramps, if no
one wants to trade with me due to this other unrelated project, thats
fine. To all others, the original post stands.

I will eat my hat. The ramps are nla and the guy was kind enough to
try and get them remade for others. So what if he is looking to sell
off part of his collection? You really expect him to take a splash on
the repos because you want a perfect set, but are unwilling to wait
for them to be remade? How about you sit tight or take the ones he was
already sent by his plastic guy instead of making a scene.
Incidentally I would have loved to seen you buy into kingpin, BBB, MM,
or some of the CPR repos that have gone awry. You would be screaming
murder for years in some instances...

For what it's worth, I never complained about the color, I think they
look awesome!! I really like Genesis, it's a great game aside from
the damn flimsy ramps.
He posted pictures on RGP of the ramps and told everybody they were
done. He shipped them out to other people.
I received not a single email from April 29th until today. I
certainly sent him a few during that time. Can't say anything other
than it's my word against his on that one. The one I received today
did not go to my spam folder.
I generally don't like to make private emails public, but here you go:
"Recieved the payment Cody. The ramps should ship out within two
weeks. I will update you when they do. In the meantime, let me know
if you have any questions. I know you will love these!

then just turn that money over to another party and lay the blame on
them? You seem to be blaming that person for the reason for the delay,
and basically hinting that you can't afford to refund anyone unless
you get the money back from them. *YOU* are responsible! These people
didn't knowingly gamble that you *might* come through, they trusted
you with money for a product. Here you are trying to get rid of a high
dollar game, and have the nerve to state you prefer a trade? You
should be posting "Selling my ToM to repay the money I owe a bunch of
people on the Genesis ramps I took payment for!" Ultimately, it sounds
like you are getting screwed, but it sounds like you're also not out a
penny and screwing the people that paid you in good faith you had
product or had product coming in a SHORT period of time. Bascially a
bunch of people have been given plenty of broken promises and
deadlines, and I don't see you offering refunds.
Cody above says he's not gotten updates from you, you don't really
give much info now, and that he point blank says he hasn't complained
about the color. Cody says he wants a set, Mr. Fart says he's holding,
Cody says he pay-paled payment, and you didn't send. Sounds like a
liar in the bunch but it don't sound like Cody IMHO. We're talking
February. He can't file a claim, and suing for mail fraud wouldn't pay
for the ramps. I don't blame him for posting here, if anything, it's
going to raise doubts to anyone that does a little research before
they send you money for a non existing product. Check's in the mail.

How is that clear? What a joke. It's just becoming more obvious that
you've taken the money and run. You can't hold something you don't
have, and have never as far as I've seen offered to refund the money
you took nearly half a year ago. You state things like Cody complained
about the color, he says he didn't and you say nothing. You say "he
doesn't want them", but offer no proof of that statement when Cody
says he DOES want them. He says he's not heard from you for months,
you call Cody a liar, but you offer no proof you've contacted him.

paying.

Easy you get the prototypes. Cliffy does the same thing when he
produces a part. Sends it out to a tester and waits for feedback
before he announces them for sale. Once he announces it that doesnt
mean he has all the ramps on hand.
That argument is moot anyways since he attests that ramps were
produced and sent out. He keeps offering you that very version of the
ramp and you have not accepted. Either wait for the fixed version of
the ramp or take the one he already offered you. At any rate I am done
since you are not here to find resolution, but instead seem to enjoy
hounding him.

You, like him are ignoring the pretty much the basics.
1. Why hasn't he offered a refund?
2. Why hasn't he commented on HIS statement about holding one for
Cody? Because he had nothing to hold. he didn't' say "I'll reserve one
for you when they come out", he said I'll mail in two weeks. Any proof
that he followed up after two weeks? No. THUS THE COMPLAINT!
3. Why hasn't he commented about the saying Cody NOT complaining about
the color? I can tell you, it's a lie.
4. Why hasn't he said anything about Cody NOT wanting the originals,
when Cody says he does? I can tell you, cause it's a lie.
5. Why hasn't he offered up any proof that there's been communication?
I can tell you, cause there hasn't been any.
And you said it. Calling the guy out as a thief and a liar. There's
too many in this hobby, like many hobbies, that lie and steal. Give me
proof this guy isn't one of them and I'll apologize for the rest of my
life.

has arrived for testing"
Oh.... in February. Quite a long time to take people's money and ask
for patience while stringing along BS stories blaming others for
promises of "two weeks"

And again I say, in maybe a different way. If you're on the up and up,
"Web Fart", refund the customers who invested in your little
adventure, and make it up on the back end when you finally produce
what is likely an unlicensed Gottlieb product! Or maybe I'm just
guessing.

He says August 15th, I hope that he gets his issues worked out and I
get a pair of ramps. Failing that, it sure would be nice to get a
refund after all this time.
