Tech: early Gottlieb SS - Sinbad

I'm an EM guy but occasionally get ahold of one of these SS games and
put myself through hell trying to fix them. Here's the current behavior
of the game:

I turn on the power switch and there's an immediate single chime,
followed by 5 seconds or so of silence. At that point the Q and T relays
pull in and release. At this point all displays show zeros as well as
the credit display. When the credit button is pushed, a short tune is
played by the chimes and then the ball kicker just fires non-stop. I
can't get any farther with it. Anyone care to help out? Thanks.

Sounds as if the game doesn't recognize the ball shot out. Check the
switches and the backbox connectors are often easy to blame.

You may have a bad spider chip or a bad buffer chip. That is what controls the
outhole solnoid.

You sound like you have a jammed outhole switch. The MPU sounds good
and the fact that the outhole is kicking repeatedly means that both
the solenoid IC and Switch IC are probably OK.
