Gene is asking for the money ...

Do you honestly believe that Gene would ask 200 people for $2250 and
then not deliver ?

He isn't insane ...

Pinball people will drive you nuts ...

He's not dumb ...

He doesn't need the money ....

Do you think he wants to take your money and then have that phone ring
every day from pinball collectors who feel like they got screwed ????

Hello !!!!!!!!!!!

The pin (Big Bang Bar) is as good as made and what will amaze people
is how easy it is going to be to reproduce others ...

The game is wide open now ...

We will see how it shakes out ...

I think this is a good day to be a collector ...

Machine ships March 2005 ... Just in time to start Kingpin and then
see my MM and Adams predictions proven 1000% correct ... who wants to
bet against me now ?????

Well for the first time ever I actually agree with "crazy gary".... at least
until you started in the reproducing other games beyond BBB bit... that's
where I draw the line.

>Adams predictions

why the hell would you reproduce an addams ? there are million addams still
floating around and you can get one for pretty cheap and throw on decals or
throw in a new playfield yourself ?

low number production games i could understand that are in higher demand, BUT
addams ?

cheers,

I have heard this statement before on RGP, not just from you Gary, and my
sincere apologies if this is a ridiculous question and I am truly NOT being
sarcastic, If he doesnt need the money why doesnt he go ahead with the
project without everyones deposit?

I know it would be a risk but I would think you would sell all the machines,
no?

I dont know, just curious, seriously. I just have heard that statement
before, that he has a lot of dough.

You gotta admit, it is better than reproducing Dolly Parton machines. ;-)

I agree with you completely, though. No reason to do TAF, and it's one of
my favorite games. MM is high on my list, and I'd say go for that. Before
that, though, I think *I* would do Funhouse if I was Gene. Most of the
hard work is done already for you and it's a popular machine that nice
examples just don't much exist of. *shrug*

All still silly speculation until he proves he can do a game that he's got
most of the hard work done for anyway.

Without the ASCI chip you will see no williams machines being made ever.

OK, holding off the B-slap on you on hold for now. Care to actually READ my
post and respond to my questions? Quit making your wild ass predictions and
make some lucid statements.... Here we go. Ready?

> Do you honestly believe that Gene would ask 200 people for $2250 and
> then not deliver ?

Why does Gene need $2250?
Isn't this money just a deposit to assure people buy the game?
Why not just ask for $1k? No one is going to throw $1k away.
Is this money going to be directly used to make parts or whatever?
He is not going to front much of his own money on this one, so is he using
the protected cash for the lender knows he is serious?
Why have the checks go directly to his company?
Seems to be asking for cash a little quick...with no business plan.

> Pinball people will drive you nuts ...

Yea, I know the feeling.

> He's not dumb ...

Not exactly the smartest person I have ever met. I would be a little more
interested in his business plan before I shelled out my cash. Care to
elaborate?

> Do you think he wants to take your money and then have that phone ring
> every day from pinball collectors who feel like they got screwed ????

He is not doing this for fun, for the hobby, or to make sure everyone has
the BBB they need. He is planning on making money. It's a business venture.
I doubt that he cares what people think of him now.

> The pin (Big Bang Bar) is as good as made and what will amaze people
> is how easy it is going to be to reproduce others ...

OK, this is where I call you out.
HOW do you know it's as good as made?
Do you have any proof other than the letter?
Taking Gene's word?
What about all the other claims he made about parts that never happened?
Have you heard HOW he is going to build these 111 games?
How about WHERE?
How about WHO?
Like all the other questions I keep asking you that you keep
avoiding....WHAT KIND OF PROOF or whatever would make you think this is a
done deal? No guesses, no predictions, no BS sources with no insight, WHAT,
MAN, WHAT? Quit avoiding the pressure and answer the simple stuff or stop
with your endless rants.

> We will see how it shakes out ...

Exactly.

> Machine ships March 2005 ... Just in time to start Kingpin and then
> see my MM and Adams predictions proven 1000% correct ... who wants to
> bet against me now ?????

I'll place a bet. Give me a date and a cash amount.
Some more simple questions-
Who ever said any WMS games were going to be made?
Did gene say that?
Are you just guessing? do you have some proof from a decent source?
Gene only owns WMS parts. He didn't buy the rights to build games. Did that
change?
Anyone can make himself look like he knows everythign, but I know better.
Your willingness to constantly avoid the simple questions just about proves
you don't know the answer.

Quit with the pump and run and spend some time putting some insight to your
bandwith clogging stuff.

BTW-you can't be 1000% correct.

I would really like to see some BBB made and actually be able to play one. I
am more of a realist. I don't see ANY completed games by expo.

I'm gonna pony up as well. I didnt get my letter today, but I'm sure it'l come
tomorrow. I figure on a couple of things: If it doesnt get done, I'll get a
refund. If it does get done, and its decent, it will be well worth it. If its
not great, I'm sure someone will come up with BBB kits to fix them up. What I
figure is this: Gene shows he can do BBB and then Kingpin in limited runs. He may
be able to negotiate with Williams to rerun some of their titles once he can prove
he can deliver. The asic chip I wouldnt worry too much about, I'm sure it can be
remade if/when needed.....

I think its a relatively small risk overall.

I was at the Texas show and videotaped Gene's seminar, Kevin O'
Connor's/Margaret Hudson seminars, and an hour of nonstop pinball
action. $15 for the 2 dvd set, includes shipping within the US if

Well I am shooting for #50. I figure if the production of these is anything
like a car line, then I don't want one made on a Monday (#1) nor do I want
one made on a Friday (#111). One thing is for certain, I will enjoy the
hell out of it, even if the insert decals are a little off. :-) I played
this game at the Tx Pinball Festival last month, and I have to say, it
doesn't take many games on one to want one. I hope it comes to pass, if
not, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I hope like hell he proves all the
nay sayers wrong, primarily because I would love to own this game. It'd
also be fun as hell to say I told you so. :) - So my money is where my
mouth is - I will be holding my breath I guess.

I agree with Todd, and I think Gene wants to prove he can do this. At
Allentown about 3-4 years ago, Gene had mentioned that he wanted to do a run
of TAFs but he couldn't because of contract issues. I stood up and asked,
"Why TAF?, People really want BBB" (I was thinking they need parts for TAF).
Gene then asked if people would pay $5000 for a BBB, and about 15 people
raised thier hands. I don't know how many people even knew what it was and
it was a small room.

My mail gets to me late in the day, so my check will be delayed until today,
but it will be in the mail.

I think I'm going to try and set up a Zoomerang survey to get some stats,
I'd like to see who really plans to send the money and what numbers they
picked, etc. Then, we can release the info on the 1st. I think it would be
cool.

I never said he screwed anyone. He has failed to come through on other
things that were to be produced.

I guess after seeing the pool players and other efforts, I would not
shell out any cash right now. BBB is a cool game. I don't think the
value will ever go down much. I really hope he comes through for you
guys. I just don't trust him enough with my money right now.

I spoke with someone who has direct information on this last night ...

he told me the only thing holding back that chip or anything else, is
a success with BBB and the correct terms ...

you guys get the idea that the old WMS people with their trademarks
are buried under the Titanic or something ....

Think of it like the rights to an old movie series like James Bond and
you will be a lot closer to the truth ...

I will say that if BBB flops, it will be a big step backward for this
effort ...

But I have news for you ... building the machine is not as difficult
as some of you seem to think ... example, go take a look at one of
your pins ... sure it looks complicated, but when you start taking it
apart piece by piece you realize that someone who knew what they were
doing, could put them together fairly quickly ... Allen Shope almost
rebuilds machines from scratch right out of his small garage ... With
what is out their today, you could almost set up shop and start
building Kiss machines for example ...

my opinions ...
