My 1990 Data East Simpsons did not come with a Ball Gate under the
lower playfield Apron.

This is causing problems when the ball goes into the Outhole and is
kicked up-and-over the ball trough -- the ball is hitting the other 2
balls in the ball trough and coming back over the "hump" in the ball
tough (where the Ball Gate should be)...now it repeats this process 4
to 8 times until the ball finally stays over the "hump" with the other
2 balls.

I've tried to purchase that part from Steve Young but he does not carry
it in stock.

I've posted here and on MR Pinball to try and purchase that part from
anyone parting out a DE Simpsons but have not had any luck.

I'm at the point now where I'm going to make my own. I've purchased
the piano wire kit from Steve Young.

The Apron at the lower end of the playfield, above the Outhole and Ball
Trough, can easily be removed by unscrewing the 2 screws that hold it -
each screw is located under the instruction cards (1 screw under the
left card and 1 screw under the right card).

Can someone with a DE Simpsons please remove their Apron and take a few
pictures of the Ball Gate for me?

A couple of different views of the Ball Gate installed and if its
possible even withthe Ball Gate uninstalled. I'm looking for the
design (all of the different bends) and how large/small the Ball Gate
is in comparison to the Apron section above the ball trough.

Thanks.
