As long as people bring machines, thats the hard part.

Ayup! I'm going to have three machines there for free play only. (Well, two and a
half... One is sold but it's going to the show to be picked up by the owner.)
A lot of CPMers (http://www.pinballmafia.net/ -- THERE, YOU GOT YOUR HTTP://. ARE
YOU HAPPY DAN? :D) will also be bringing games to play in the free play area.
I tend to bring my less common stuff because it's just that -- games you don't see
often. (Though that kind of describes most of the games that I own!)

Have a home video that's trapped on your camera? Want to share it on the web or on
DVD?
Expo is a great time!! What you can expect is...lots of FUN, and not
much sleep!! ;-) Chance to meet fellow pinheads, and make new
friends...Meet the designers of some of your favorite games, tour the
Stern pinball factory, go to some seminars, and learn some new tidbits
about everything Pinball....Oh yeah and play LOTS of pinball!! :-)
This year is going to be a great year at Expo!!! I can hardly wait till
next week...Good times will be had by all!! make sure that you introduce
yourself to folks so we can welcome you! (Refer to a past post from Rick
Swanson about how after his first Expo trip he debated about coming back
because he didn't know anyone...but the next year he came back.....and
the rest is history!!) :D
I have been getting my games ready and breaking them down to load up and
head for the show...
This year I am bringing...
Time Fantasy
Star Light
FirepowerII
Varkon
Farfalla
Space Shuttle
Comet
Sorcerer
Grand Lizard
Spiderman (SM) (Stern)
Medieval Madness (MM)
Attack From Mars (AFM)
+ title to be determined
+ title to be determined
not sure on the last 2...I am bringing 3 games for a friend, and 2
titles are still up in the air...;-)
Looking forward to it!!! (said in my best whiny 5 year old voice!!) Is
it Tuesday yet??? :D

If you need suggestions for your last 2, I'd really love to play your
Solar Fire again! :)
Either way, THANK YOU for bringing your games for us! I know it's a TON
of work and I really appreciate it. That goes for everyone else
bringing games too! :)

Don't know about anybody else, but not from me, no.

Oh boy... Bet you $10 SheKorn camps out on that for a while, since I took ours
apart and got lazy putting it back together again. (I'll probably join her! :) )
And of course, big ups for bringing so many games such a long distance! How are you
managing the logistics of that, anyway? I thought you guys' trailer was full around
the eight game mark?
Hello John, we covered this a couple weeks ago in another thread much
larger than this one could possibly hope to become. In summary the
feeling was you can expect... Lots of smelly, dysfunctional people that
love pinball to come together and enjoy times new and old if you have
been there before, awkwardness if not but to get over it and drink and
be merry. Some pins (lots actually), luminaries, and long nights and
early mornings depending on your level of self control and discipline.
Bring cash, buy drinks for old timers and become a noob-of-old. Its a
blast, if you are into that kind of thing (and you are, if you are going).

Once upon my crank her ballpark shrank.

Medieval Madness is the game I've always wanted to play. That's
awesome. Thank you for hauling all your games in so they can be
enjoyed.

Expect two large rooms, one with vendors and one with pinball machines on
free play; these are the Exhibit Hall. Note carefully on the schedule of
events ( http://www.pinballexpo.net/seminar.pdf ) when the Exhibit Hall is
open as it is closed during many of the seminars and during the banquet.
It's a great time, but plan your schedule around the events.

Sorcerer is a good game!! It is our youngest s fave!! (and also his
game!!) ;-) You and She Korn enjoy and see you there!! :-)
LOL!! Yeah our trailer is full around the 8 game mark...so we are
renting another one, (we are actually bringing some (4) games for
some of our friends, we are going on a hunt and gather mission
tomorrow to help get them together so we can load them up) and having
a friend pull it with more games in it!! :-) I knew when I got my
trailer I should've opted for the bigger one...but at the time I
didn't have a vehicle that could pull a bigger one, and was actually
pushin' it hauling it with 8 games in it!! :-)

And the people. The best part of Expo. New friends, old friends, people from
the industry, famous pinball people.
And you generally get out of Expo what you put into it.
Rick Swanson went in 2000. He had a horrible Expo experience. Didn't seem to
fit in, felt like he was intruding. Had no fun at all. Was considering never
going back.
Rick did return in 2001. He asserted himself, he said hi to people,
introduced himself, asked their names, asked what they were into. He had a
totally different experience. He had the time of his life. Now he is one of
the Expo legends. People travel thousands of miles just to see Rick at Expo.
And if I might be so bold. Bring some bail money and hang out with me.
You'll have the time of your life and a pretty good shot at jail sex. And
don't miss the LTG :) Show. Lake Michigan Ballroom 10pm Friday night. At
least a couple hours of fun. PINBALL PARTS. Questions and answers. Pinball
Circus type humor. Raunchy good fun. And the WOZ Soiree with the Wizard
providing pizza at 10:15pm.
And don't miss the Jersey Jack fireside chat Thursday night with his WOZ
team, and having spent over 34 years in the industry hit Jack again as the
banquet speaker Saturday night.
Time of your life ! LTG :)
I heard something about an all night thing, is that happening?
I think I saw the free play area will be open all night Thur/Fri/Sat
if I am not mistaken.
Yes, Phoebe, thank you for bringing that MM!!!! That's awesome!! :)
Brian
Once you've been there, I think you'll want to go again. :-)

I guess I need to be clearer on that!!! I am actually bringing MM For
a friend!! ;-) Although I don't see his name on it anywhere anymore!!
Just a bunch of LAR's. and he better come over here and clean it
before I haul it up there, it is getting pretty dirty here getting
about 100 plays a night! :-)
P.S. why don't you bring a piece of that PDI glass to put in it for
Expo!! That would be really cool!!! ;-)

That sounds like a street corner pimp or pusher. Seriously.
YES, you are mistaken! :)
Hmm, should I bring the PDI glass to expo......um NO! After what you
guys did to me, I'm never doing that again!! :))
Brian
I believe bringing your own stool (sample?) is encouraged and allowed.
If you are not enabled to stand and play, the ADA is on your side and
organizers will more than gladly help you or be shut down/fined.
Big THANK YOU in advance to all those that are bringing games to the
show. Take it from someone else who has put on a pinball show down here
in the south. It's the folks that bring pinball machines that make the
pinball shows successful.
See everyone next week. The pinball party plane from DFW leaves
Wednesday. Whoody whooo!!!!
