I lucked into this, but was blown away.

I was playing my last mode for the Decepticons and was also playing OP
multiball. I finished the mode and was still in OP. I figured I'd
dump the trapped ball on the left and shoot into Allspark to start
Sentinel Prime (All Hail Megatron).

Well what happened was that Allspark was lit for Sentinel Prime and
the grace period was still in effect and the award was Add-a-Ball. So
All Hail Megatron ended up as a multiball since Optimus Prime was
running with it.

I have never seen that. That is what I want to go for next time!

Unfortunately I did not finish Sentinel Prime and moved on to playing
the Autobots. No I did not reach Cybertron. I left the StarScream
extra ball hanging as well.

Thanks for reading.

Nice, you can really cruise through SP with MB running. I'll have to try
it out.

Thanks for posting. That's a really cool goal to aim for.

:)

Hope I get there some day.

TFLE is the equivalent of running or working out. It's kind of a chore
but the payoff is huge. And after the workout your stronger faster and a
better pinball player. : )

I eat Tweankies after i workout so would that be the equivelant of
reaching SP but draining right when it starts :)

Fascinating.... nice discovery! Would certainly be a help for
increasing your chances of finishing SP. It would be a slight drawback
to trying to max your score of SP (if you have the roving 3x multiplier
lit, and have the patience to trap, wait, and accurately shoot the
roving 3x for most shots -- I've only tried this once, and karma won
out: I drained halfway through SP).

And, you have the added benefit that the SP playfield lights use the
Auto/Decept insignias, while the OP mb uses the orange arrows (what a
novel concept ;)

Stacking this also gives you a taste of what Cybertron is like (since
it's essentially a SP multiball with one additional jackpot to collect
on each shot).

One stack that doesn't work with SP: starting up a multiball after
qualifying and lighting SP. Playing as Autobot, had SP lit, but only
had two locks left for another round of Megatron. So I locked them
both, started up Megatron mb, but the SP starting shot at the all spark
went out once the mb started.

Oh well. At least I finished SP after draining out of the megatron mb.

That makes sense that you could not start a full multiball and then
start SP-maybe too much of an advantage.

I think in my case I was in the smallest window of opportunity to do
what I did. I figured only SP would have started as that is clearly a
higher level goal than a regular multiball.

But as I said I was pleasantly surprised and had no idea it could be
done-never even occurred to me. If I had held onto the trapped ball
on the right flipper for a moment longer before shooting it into
Allspark, then SP would have been just as expected.

Now I am greedy and only want to play SP that way :)

BTW-Interesting comment on that stack was a taste of Cybertron. Still
trying for that goal.

To play for ultimate high score, your greedy way seems like the best
choice. Buuuuuut, until the Optimus mb progression is fixed, I probably
won't play Autobots that way because of the frustration of hitting the
OP mb roadblock (if you save OP mb for last after completing all your
Autobot modes).

For anyone that cares to see how high you can jack up your Sentinel
Prime score, I was able to get a SP total score of over 160M today! :D

Had the 3x shot roving, and hit most of my shots with 3x flasher lit.
Plus, got double scoring going around the last 3-4 shots of SP, with my
SP super jackpot effectively 6x (3x shot and 2x playfield).

TF haters, keep on hating... I enjoy the game!
