I told him that this part was very difficult to find and not likely to
be cheap, but he still asked me to post. The remainder of the
mechanism is working fine, so if anyone recently replaced their
mechanism and has the reels from the old part, that would be great. I
understand that there are a number of people looking for these, and
some have been waiting for some time, but I promised I would post a
request, so I have done so.

I just did a repair on these since they are NLA.
You cut the plastic at the center of the reel to remove the brass
insert and set screw and round it out then enlarge the set screw hole.
Take a Bally flipper pawl and drill it out to fit over the shaft.
Grind it so all that is left is the ring and one set screw. Press the
ring on the reel with the set screw over the hole and tighten it to
the shaft.
Heat the spokes with the torch on low to true the reel if it has
sagged and rubbing on the optos.

I have a non cracked good shape nice one, that I no longer need, Wheel
is great shape but the decal is bubbled in a few spots, I think its
wheel 3a.
