1965 Buckaroo: game initially was $7400 restored to first owner, paid
$5000, selling for $4500

1977 Golden Arrow: paid $3100 restored, selling for $2500

There is no way to fairly describe the condition of these titles
without coming here and playing them.

Dr. Dave has been here and put time on both and I don't think he'd
mind sharing his opinion with you.

For serious inquiries, contact me directly for pics and further
details.

After seeing what he does for a restore and flip/sale I'd not put much
merit on 'Dr Dave's view or word on much. The stuff he calls artwork
touch up is pathetic, and the quick spit and shine polish he gives each
machine is not much more than a quick and dirty shop job. I will hand
it to him, on that game he recently did the CC was a frosty mess instead
of a complete disaster. But hey, I'm just one guy who actually gives a
shit about the quality of work for hire and sale in pinball. Maybe the
noobs don't give a shit and will take it up the ass at these prices and
'verifiable' opinions of hacks.

Smart money is selling pins to capitalize on the stupid peoplez...
TKO is unobtanium, and really worthless as a playing game goes.
Titles that are rare, but not the former metal in the 70s like Neptune
bring 800-1200 in nice condition. This fuck is smoking crack, and some
fuck smoking more might just bite.

Poor Frankie has no life so he lives out his miserable existence here
on rgp spewing his BS - what a joke loser.

Just to clarify, Nick Raschilla did the restoration and people gladly
pay premium prices all day long for his EM work, just as they pay
premium prices all day long for HEPs SS/DMD work. Many guys around my
area have several of both in their collections and are thrilled to
have them.

And everyone's tired of the FF "smart money speech" - you're stating
the obvious based on the market, but it doesn't even apply to me
here. I can think of maybe twice in 10 years of collecting that I
actually made money on a pin (not that there is anything wrong with
that). I'm not selling because the market is up, I'm selling because
I have some other priorities right now. Best case, I'd even welcome
the option to buy these both back at a later date for the same amount
as I'm selling them for.

The latter clearly makes you a tool. You want an interest free loan
from someone on an up market? What a fucker you are, to call me out and
then say you want someone else to pay your for your 'priorities'. What
a fuck you are my friend, what a fuck.

No Frankie - if I wanted that as a requirement, then it would have
been included in my original post. It's just an option if the buyer
wants to get their money back out of the game down the road and gives
me a shot at getting a game back that I'd prefer not to sell in the
first place.

Maybe *you* should consider selling a pin and get some therapy. All
we see from you is continual bitterness and anger - maybe it's time to
let it go and lighten up. Seriously, it's pretty sad.

Meanwhile, I've already spent too much time on this thread responding
to your nonsense, feel free to have the last word as I won't even be
checking back to read it.

Will do, done, last word. You have been called out, spanked, and shown.
You are a tool, go sell your games as a interest free loan and act as
if you are doing someone a favor. Go and play both sides of the market
as if you are some saint doing no wrong. Your plight is pathetic, must
be since you sell your soul and collection in one post. As-is,
where-is, and what-is.

Cliff is a top notch collector, and someone with whom I would have no
problem doing business. His machines are incredible, and I am sure
anyone would be happy with a game they get from him.

He is NOT a tool.
He is not a dick.
He is not a Fuck.

He is an honest, hard working collector whose priorities have shifted a
bit and he needs to sell some things to accommodate that.

And your idea of him wanting an interest free loan is incorrect.

Oh well, we can't all be perfect :)

Good luck with the sales Cliff!

Was over at Cliff's house a few years back and played these. Wow they
were in nice shape!
Cliff's games are top notch and were top notch restored. Played and
looked like new.

Easily worth the money he's asking for them.

As for Todd Nathan (frank-the d-bag), he knows nothing but jealousy,
hatred and spite. He really needs our pity. Maybe we can create a
rec.whining-crybaby group he can spout his diarrhea of the mouth on

Posts like this where a seller is claiming something extraordinary go a
lot further with pictures.

I know I am not alone on this and wouldn't mind seeing what a $7,400
wedgehead looks like.

I also know if someone called me out like Frank has, I would be posting
some pictures to prove my point.

(pictures go a lot further than testimonials) ;)

Just a suggestion.

Thanks Jim and Chris - much appreciated.

(sorry Frank - skipped over your msg - don't know nor care what you
rambled about)

I have received multiple inquiries and interest regarding Nicks EM
restorations since my post, so I'll address a couple of those here.

First, I want to clarify the pricing history on the Buck (doesn't
change the sale price but I don't want to mislead). It was $6400, not
$7400 - my error. That's a total of $2500 base game + resto.

Moving on . . .

Nick services the very highest end of the EM market. He's developed
and perfected a variety of restoration processes and goes to extreme
lengths to stay true to the original look of a game.

I think of his games more as "remanufactured" rather than restored
because *everything* is rebuilt and finely tuned. The result is a
game that looks NIB and plays like a dream.

To this point, you can have him do as much or as little to your game
as you like. I don't know if that will ever change to 100% finished
games only, but today it's somewhat flexible.

For example, I've already given this breakdown on my games to
interested parties, but will share here to give you an idea:

The Golden Arrow restoration was just mechanical as the cabinet was
pristine original to begin with, and the playfield and glass were
extremely nice.

The Buckaroo restoration was both mechanical and PF cosmetics/artwork/
clear - didn't touch the cab. (If pf clear is needed, it's very thin
and looks as good as anything I've seen)

I've played dozens of other Nick restored titles and they are all
incredible, including a 1957 Royal Flush woodrail he shipped to a
customer out West recently. This game was a full restoration - needed
everything and hence would be an excellent title to show before/after
pics of. He's generally backed up a year or so with restoration work,
but I'll ask if he's ok with me sharing those and will post a link
shortly if so.

Thank you, fucking thank you again! WTF is with people thinking they
can and should be able to have issues and rely on the hobby to bail them
out and then ask effectively or outright that the hobby and its
participants give (noobs or olds alike) some interest free loan on
buyback at same price on an up market (or down). This clown is a posse
of trouble, and this post he made is a problem. The bubble is already
popped, or about to pop and this bozo thinks somehow the community and
RGP owes him something. We owe him nothing, he owes the community
nothing other than some respect.

I have seen and played these games and I know Nick's work. The games
are really outstanding. They look great, they play great. Cliff is an
honest, well-respected good guy, who enjoys pristine examples of
collectible games.

Everyone can't afford games like these, and some prefer to have more
games of lesser quality than vice versa. To each his own.

Asking full price, or in this case far above full price, is pointless without pictures. I can say I have any condition machine at any price, and have my friends talk it up online all I want. Pictures don't lie. That's not trolling, that's standard. Why get all up in arms when someone asks for pictures of a "collector grade" machine to verify the statement?

You didn't get the reason because Dr. Dave was used as a tool to justify
the cost and the quality. We have seen DD's work and the key line work
and color match are fucking pathetic at best and rediculous.

This hobby is full of posers and make-believers that want to leverage
the ignorance of the noobs that either have too much money and/or too
much to gain on flip and propegate the bullshit like this OP offered.

Fuck, anyone with a sense of skill or genuine ability in anything other
than total deception and ill-intent to the public would post and buy
into this bullcrap and then make it someone else's problem with a quick
turn in a bubble market.

Finally, and I mean we all have some responsibility to call the shit
what it is, pull the plug on this putz and those in kahootz/association
of mention so we flush out the hobby and it functionally its returned to
a reasonable sense of market/reality other than pump and dump TV shows
and assholes looking to make a quick buck or two from another machine
sale on the ignorant/unsuspecting.

Isn't it time folks take back the hobby?

Thanks Steve - that's pretty much the idea.

To address the folks who have contacted me about Nick's restoration
work, I just received a link from him where you can view several
titles. I placed it in a new thread called "Nick Raschilla's EM
Restorations" here and on pinside so people would have access to him
as a resource should they ever want an EM restored to this level.

Lastly, if anyone would like to put some plays on my games while
