LAH Crane and Magnet Question

1) When the ball is loaded into the crane, it rolls back and stops, crane moves and it doesnt roll out. What prevents it from rolling out? A magnet or coil and some stop device?

2) Where are the magnets on the PF?

Thanks Dont have it infront of me but looking at one.

1) Coil. Coil will activate releasing the ball
2) Mid/Lower/Left about where the girl is on the pplayfield

Also,
regarding the magnets, you can easily see them when looking under the
playfield. A common problem with this is the magnet board. It will
frequently blow and cause the magnets to kick on at random times and to
blow the related fuse (which also controls the ripper kicker). There are
updated boards you can get (www.homepin.com) that have beefier
transistors, but you still might have problems. Some people have
suggested to move the magnet board into the backbox to lessen the
interference.

Also look at the ball trough switches, those get screwed up a lot.

Either way, great fun game.

Keep in mind the ball might not be released if the crane is not adjusted
correctly. At each end of the crane's swing path there are leaf switches
that must be depressed in order for the game to know where the crane is.
