Hello, I am hoping someone might have a little insight to my problem. I
have searched Google under "System 11" and have not found this exact
problem.

In a nutshell, I had a problem with my Millionaire not starting...would boot
sometimes and sometimes not...got worse with time until finally would not
boot at all.
I could not find the problem so I called a repair guy....he told me it was
in the CPU board, so I sent it out to Coin Service for repair.

Just got the board back ($100 repair job...most I've ever had to spend)
installed it, and HOORAY the game boots fine.
+5v and blanking LEDs on and diagnostics LED flashing. Games makes it to
attract mode with all the related lights and sounds.

Problem is...game will not start. Push the credit button..you hear the
start sound like game is going to start BUT ball does not eject and you hear
one of the game sound effects (six noises, not sure what they are, but you
hear them in attract mode) then the relay on the power board kicks and the
all the GI lamps on the playfield go out. Credit button will not do
anything after this. If I turn game off then on or remove and reconnect
power to the cpu board, start button will work again but do the same thing.
All switch and solonoid test run good.

Now I have paid for a tech and a board repair but game will not start. I
don't have to tell you how frustrated I am at this point. Does anyone know
if there is something stupid that I am missing? Or should I send the CPU
back to be rechecked? ANY ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in
advance, Vern

I don't have a system 11 game to check, but one thing comes to mind is the
correct number of balls in game and accounted for and the ball trough switches
working good and no binding or broken wires or anything ? LTG :)

Have enough balls in the game?

Both balls are installed and the trough switches check OK.

Not sure if you have resolved you problem yet, but the
blinking diagnostics LED will tell you what the problem is
by the number of times it blinks. The manual has a chart
showing the blink count and corresponding problem. Also,
the game does go through a sound diagnostic as well. Based
on the type and number of sounds, the manual shows what the
problem is.

His problem was the coin services didn't fix the board properly.
He bought my Millionaire (not the one he had the problem with) and
Rollergames. After the deal he emailed me and told me that he swap "my" MPU
for the one in his game and it worked fine.

Sorry, I thought that I had posted a follow up already.
I was able to "test" the machine with a CPU from another Millionaire
and it worked fine. I had the board rechecked by Coin Service. I am
not sure what the problem with the board was..but when it came back
from them the second time, it was working.
I know that this has generated a discussion before, but has anyone had
a bad experience with Coin Service? I have used them several times
and this is the first time I had a problem. Usually I get my stuff
back in a week or so, but this time it took over a month and I had to
send it back. Any input??
