Would anyone have the text to a 1978 Zaccaria HOUSE OF DIAMONDS pinball
instruction card?
Failing that, are there any German readers who could translate the
following into English:
Spielanleitung
liche Kugel disqualifiziert (TILT).
Zusatzliche Freispielmoghlichkeit, wenn am Spielende die Endzahl eines
Zahlwerkes mid der aufleuchtenden Zahl auf der Buntglasscheibe uberein-
stimmit.
Maximal 1 Zusatzkugel pro Durchgang.
Any help would be appreciated.

The problem with the global village is all the global village idiots.
I've never seen one. You might want to sign up and post this on the
Yahoo Zaccaria mailing list, though. Maybe somebody there has seen
one, or can do a better translation.
The Google translator does a passable job at it. You can probably make
something up from what it comes up with.

Play guidance
Munze throw in and wait, until all number works were stopped.
Only then further Munzen throws, and/or the credit button in
betatigen.
Only the ball in the playing field is disqualifiziert by striking
or StoBen of the Gerates (TILT).
Zusatzliche Freispielmoghlichkeit, if to playing the final number
of a number work ubereinstimmit mid the lighting up number on the
tinted glass disk.
Maximally 1 auxiliary ball per passage.
My guess is that the first paragraph refers to only dropping coins in
when the game is ready to accept them. Don't drop more coins until the
game is done resetting. Probably left over boilerplate text from their
EM games, since a SS game should be able to handle game startup and a
coin drop at the same time.
Second paragraph boils down to "Tilt ends the ball in play". Not sure
what "StoBen" or "Gerates" are.
Third paragraph is probably trying to explain that the end of ball
match sequence matches via the number on the backglass.
Forth looks like one extra ball per game.
You might also look and see what's in the VPinball emulation for this
game. I think Frank did this one, and he may have dug up or created a
rules card while he was at it.

They're 3.5" x 5", same size as a Williams card.

It looks to me like this isn't the instruction card for "House Of Diamonds"
I think someone wanted to fill the gapp in the apron with an old card.
There are better ways to do that.
I hope this answers your question.

"Queen's Castle by Zaccaria
It has two rows of targets on each side of the playfield, cards 1 to 5 on
the left, and cards 6 to 10 on the right. When one completes all ten, it
lights up the Jack, then again to light up the Queen, and again for the
King. Target values increases correspondingly to 1000, 10000 and 50000. When
the king is lit, hitting all targets again gives a special. This is
obviously quite a difficult task, so it can be adjusted to give a special
after lighting the Queen, or the Jack only. It is also possible to make the
game easier by setting the targets to liberal. It then links targets 3 and
5, and 6 and eight, effectively reducing the number of targets from 10 to 8.
There is also a bonus, which is increased by two green targets above the two
bumpers, and the rollover button in the left top lane. Bonus goes from
10,000 to 100,000. However, there is a skill shot, a 360 degree lane on the
right of the playfield. Inside is a rollover button which gives 100,000
points and a x10 bonus multiplier. It is tricky because the entrance is
quite narrow, and if the ball is too fast, it does not activate the rollover
button. However, it is the main points earner, giving 1.1 million potential
on each ball. Last difficulty is it has a similar type of inlanes as Jacks
to Open, described in the last issue, i.e. there is a gap in the wire which
allows a fast reversing ball to drain to the outlane. There is also a post
in the outlane which you can use to nudge the ball back to the inlane.
Unfortunately the former happens more readily than the latter. One must
practice dead-drops.
Another interesting feature is the Bonus Ball, which is enabled by the top
kickout hole, separately for left and right outlanes. If you drain in an
enabled outlane, you get a Bonus Ball, indicated by a flashing sign on the
backglass. Scoring goes to 9,999,900, with free games at 4.4 and 5.8
million. Finally, it has a spinner in the middle of the playfield, whose
secondary purpose is to rotate the top kickout features between enable right
or left outlane for Bonus Ball and score 50,000, determine which card target
will be lit by the left bonus rollover button, and whose primary purpose is
to centralise the ball for a perfect SDTM drain!"
