Hi Guys,

First time pin-owner as of this weekend, so talk simple to me. I just
got a Whirlwind a couple days ago and I've been doin' some minor fixes
on it (lights, balls, rubbers, etc) and yesterday...THE SPINNING
PLAYFIELD DISCS STOPPED SPINNING!!! <-(Trying to stay calm.)

I'm not sure what I could have done to make them stop, aside from:

1) Lifting the playfield several times to replace lights.
2) Adjusting the playfield discs' raise-y and lower-y things

I wouldn't think either of those things would have cause the discs to
stop functioning, but that's about the only thing I've done outside of
playing the machine. Any tips would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for your time,
Ryan Claytor

So do they spin in test mode? Normally yhey don't always spin..only
during what I call "storm mode" when playing. And then it's an on/off
type spin.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for chiming in. They do not spin in test mode, nor do they
spin in storm mode only.

Any suggestions?

You may have bumped a wire and it broke off the motor or motor control
board. Another possibility is a connector came undone under the playfield
or in the backbox. Maybe a blown fuse perhaps?
