2 things:

1 The license would be very very difficult to secure, if not
impossible

2 I'd be a pre-paid customer as long as Stern isn't doing it :)

Maybe for a more modern entertaining approach it would make sense to do
a Dread Zeppelin pinball. Although timeless, and great without
question, Led needs to move on as so do so many other aged old and tired
rockers carrying a torch failed to be passed on to anyone other than
maybe the self proclaimed dietary (Fudge Packers) Food Resolvers.

I thought it was a Great Read though & idea's floated through my mind
about a Pinball.

True the guy's look old, But hey they Are old, But the story was
pretty good & I loved their Music when I was growing up,, One can

Their musical range would make for a great soundtrack to a pin, better
than AC/DC and Metallica for sure.

The license is nearly impossible to secure, but if you could get it, I'm
willing to bet that Jimmy Page would be there every single day watching
over every last detail. He is insanely protective of the license.

Frank claims that they never passed a torch down. He obviously knows
nothing of rock history. Alt-rock has so many roots from what Led
Zeppelin pioneered. Heck, the entire grunge movement of the early '90s
was very much Zeppelin influenced, especially in bands like Stone Temple
Pilots, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden.

Today Led Zep's influence is still far reaching.

OK. I **HATE** Led Zeppelin. I **HATE** AC/DC. I **HATE** Metallica! But I **LOVE** the Rolling Stones, and I can appreciate Elvis Presley. That said, I don't think ACDC or Metallica warranted pins. They're not in the league of the Stones or Zep, historically. And Elvis is the KING lol. I'm still holding out for a DEVO machine.

That said AGAIN, I enjoy the TRS game for its skill and challenge, but it was one of the weaker Sterns of the last several years. Sight unseen I assume Metallica will be better. Elvis was made when Stern still had clunky flippers. And I've yet to see an ACDC machine.

But even though I **HATE** Led Zeppelin, I think them, the Stones, Beatles, and Pink Floyd are like the 4 'must do' pins if possible. Pink Floyd would be AWESOME if they did it right!!

Influence, yes for sure, but the torch was never passed down. The above
bands all sold out big time (sooner than later in all accounts except
maybe PJ)...

A couple things about Led Zeppelin that have always been interesting to
me

1. The time signatures in the songs are very complex. Or at least the
way Page played them... sometimes the drums, bass, and vocals would be
on 4/4 and Page would be playing 6/4, or at least something that sounded
like that. It wouldn't resolve when the rest of the music would.
Kashmir is a good example, but really he did it on almost every song.
Very creative and original, I've never heard any other major band do
that.

2. Robert Plantt is a really hard guy to understand, he basically turned
into an old woman... but you have to give the devil his due, when the
band 'reunited' a few years ago for that one off show, he sounded as
good as he ever did, somehow. I don't know how he went 20 years without
singing those amazing leads, then just *did* again like it wasn't
anything. Nobody else alive sounds like him, and he seems to be able to
do it at will. Pretty impressive singer.

As for the pin, Stern seems to need no advice on stuff like that lately.
They're making a mint with everything they release, so I'm sure if they
decide to release it, it'll sell well like all their other stuff has
been lately.

I still had hearing back in the late 70's, But before I lost it all
we had 8 Track tape players & mostly Mono sounds ( which sucked ).
Now I have 2 Led Zep CDs I put in my Jukeboxs & people just do not
understand why I put those on to begin with being Deaf now or why I
even have Jukes to start with ?.
I tell them as long as they are mine I'll put what I want on them,
Mostly Classic Rock & a few new Country CDs.
As far as Stern goes you are right, But I do not think LedZep would
ever happen, But if I could build one going by just the Blog above I
know I know it would be a killer game :)
