Would any of you guys like to join me in a 2013 New Year's resolution?
No, I'm not going to lose 20 pounds or quit drinking or going to
exercise twice a day. That stuff is all hard work. What I have in mind
is a lot easier. I am going to reslove to make RGP a better place by
placing Frank Furter AKA Todd Nathan on ignore.

My resolution is to never read, or reply to any post by the troll in
the basement.

Yeah, I know about filters and kill files, I don't need any help on
that. And yes, I know that there are other places to read RGP that are
Todd Nathan-free zones.

And I know it is Todd Nathan's right to say whatever he wants,
regardless how douchey.

RGP would be a better place without him, and it would be a better
place without myself and other guys responding to his shit and giving
him what he wants. I don't think it's a sure bet that he'll go away if
we ignore him; he'll probably even step it up in an attempt to draw us
out. He may go away, may not, but if we ignore him I'm sure we'll
improve this place.

You in?

And Happy New Year to you and your friends and families, too!

Yea this is a great idea. RGP is a great group for pinheads and it's time to stop the insanity and ignore Todd Nathan once and for all. Let's turn the page and make 2013 a FF free zone and focus on good healthy pinball discussions which is what this group is really all about.

Respectfully submitted Joe, but I've been on this forum since the late 1800's,
and the one truth that I can tell you is that there will *always* be one or more
Todd's on here. And the problem is, they all thrive on attention like your
thread is now giving him/them. I don't know a lot, but I can attest that the
only time they leave is when it stops becoming entertaining for them to be here.
And that happens when they stop getting attention and reactions from the rest of
the folks here.

I don't killfile anyone, I just pick and choose what I click on to open. If you
don't agree with him (and the 100 more of him that will follow eventually) just
ignore him. It isn't worth letting someone posting on the Internet to get under
your skin like that. IMHO.

This sounds like a good idea. Can anyone do a walk-thru on how to
accomplish this? I know that some people on here (myself included)
aren't too savvy when it comes to kill-filing or whatever.

I am in too, and agree 100% with original poster. Can someone please tell me how to do this kill-filing.

Thanks Joe,
I'm all in .
Kyle also has it right, Even if FF leaves another will take his
place .

For those of you asking about filters, It is a lot easier just to
learn to ignore trolls like FF
& move to the next thread, If you reply to him you are just giving him
what he wants & everyones loses .

Hope 2013 is going to be a lot better ! .

I'm in.

From previous troll wars I learned to just ignore but for people with
kill files I also learned not to respond to his post directly and try
to snip his comments out when you respond as a general measure of
politeness.

Happy 2013

I originally had to read/reply to RGP on an old manual typewriter. :-)

The first troll I remember from back then was named John Shields. He eventually
tired and left, they all do.

Occasionally he posts some good stuff and it makes me laugh.
Otherwise he is just trying to piss people off and it works.

Without a doubt, Gary was the king troll. No one will ever be able to match his troll skills. He always had RGP buzzing with activity. What drove him out doe anyone recall?
