Pinball in Austin, TX

Revised 9/25/94

Rating Scale:
A - Very nice, plays well, clean, maybe one *small* problem at the most.
B - Pretty good, may be dirty, or have a couple of bad switches.
C - It could be better. Weak flippers, Dirty, Broken Toys.
D - Filthy, or Very Weak Flippers, many bad switches.
F - Broken, Out of Commission, or very filthy. Go hunt down the operator.

Game Initials:
IJ -Indiana Jones -- The Pinball Adventure
GnR -Guns and Roses
TZ -Twilight Zone
BK2K -Black Knight 2000
WCS -World Cup Soccer
R911 -Rescue 911
WWF -WWF-Royal Rumble
JP -Jurassic Park
ST:TNG -Star Trek: The Next Generation
TAF -The Addams Family

There are probably many more, if you have any questions, mail me. :-)

This rating scale will have taken effect with the places that I have been
to recently. I date the locations, and some of the information may have
changed. These are observations that are in my opinion, from playing the
games. If I have not played that game, It will be noted. Some of the
arcades have a very shakey maintence schedule, which makes it harder to
keep this list updated. If you would like to contribute/update, please
send comments to rug...@bga.com. You can also mail me, if you would like
a more updated version. (This was updated at the time of posting).

Special thanks:

Jeez, you have a lot of pins in your town! Consider yourself fortunate.
Here in Louisville, KY, I have yet to see any games newer than Demo Man.
Oh, yeah, and GnR. Maybe I should move to a real town...

Keep in mind, that I began compiling that list the day that I moved
here. That is probably close to 75% of the pinball machines that are in
Austin, not counting the ones in home use. There are a couple more quick
stops that I found, and I've been meaning to add them to the list. When
I got to TX in June, they just got their DM's, and it wasn't but 2 months
later that 2 WCS's showed up here. I had played WCS in California 4
months before they showed up here. There is 1 flintstones, and 1 GnR.
If you want pinball, move to Chicago, NYC, or the SJ/SF area of California.

BTW, if people are interested in an updated listing, feel free to mail
me, otherwise, I'll post it once every 2-4 weeks.
