I'm starting to think these things are vaporware!

I put my pre-order in the same day that IPB said they were going to remake
them. Have never gotten a call, email or anything from IPB! I've emailed Kim
several times on this and for a while all I got was the run around. Now I
get NO response at all. Can't seem to ever be able to get her or anyone else
on the phone.

I'm sorry, but this is just CRAP!!!!!! My money isn't the right color or
what? I'm getting really frustrated with IPB. I'm driving up to their parts
show next weekend (1000 miles round trip), so maybe I can get some straight
answers then......

Anyone else having this problem purchasing a Funhouse playfield???

Mike (yeah, I'm pissed off!) :-(

I too 'pre-ordered'. A friend of mine bought one through the web site
and received his several weeks ago.

I exchanged emails with Kim last week on a different topic and asked
for status on the playfields. She's still working through the Centaur
playfields and will get to the FH one's when she can.

Are they *that* busy on BBB?

Having operated my own small business and worked at another one my family
ran for a bit, when your level of customer service drops into the sh*tter
because you can't take the customer's payment for something, it's time to
hire some extra help!

But, I guess you can play it like you wanna play it when you have stuff that
people want and can't get elsewhere. Must be nice!

I had 7 FH playfields delivered to me of those only 1 was mine.So I can
honestly say 6 other people have gotten theirs.I also had 3 shipped to me to
be drilled and dimpled outside of that so that would make 10 total.
I am not the only one that has gotten them.I am the only one that offers
a service to drill them, has reviewed them and now installed them. That
simple.Sorry it bothers but I don't see why you guy's are trying to act like
I got some type of special treatment.

I got my FH playfield the same week CH got his shipment. Finished the
swap 2 weeks ago. Now all I need is a NOS Rudy face and jaw, to
complete game.

Thanks, Mac

Until Mac posted that he had his field, I've not seen or heard anyone
mentioning that they have theirs, and I see plenty of people asking where
they are, both here in RGP and behind the scenes. I know several people who
are still waiting for theirs.

I took exception to Gary's comments that some customers deserved priority
shipping because of their status as a game restorer or 'top dog'. My comment
was not aimed at you, it was simply a rebuttal to Gary's comments. Should've
known to not feed the troll!

My comment also stemmed on the point that if IPB is so incredibly busy
filling orders, and can't get around to shipping product and collecting $$,
they need more help.

Not about you Chris - about IPB. I needed some parts they had in stock
awhile back, they sent them right out. Can't imagine why they can't deliver
a product that they made due to demand and took preorders on.

Assuming I can track one down, I'd like to use your drilling service. When
that time comes, rest assured I'll be in touch!

Wow, great mentality. It is thinking like this that makes the hobby so
great.

Just what pinball needs, more people with too much money and not enough
brains. (shaking my head)

The only time you saw any action out of IPB was when Wayne was at their
heals....now that Wayne has failed worse than IPB they have backed off
again.

Too bad, really. They had a chance to be a great asset to the hobby.
Imagine IPB with Pinball Resource running things- you get what you
need, decent prices, and no BS.

My aim was to promote the needed parts that are being made and show what
can be accomplished with them in hopes they will continue not be attacked or
vilified because I was amongst *some* of the first to get them.
I have no clue why some have received them and others haven't but it is
clear that I am not the only one and it has nothing to do with "status".
In the end I am sure they have made or plan on making more than the few
that are already out there or else they would not even be able to recoup
their money..
The reason I took offense wasn't your rebuttal of Gary's comments. It was
because you were aware of other people getting their playfield but chose not
to acknowledge that and it seemed to me as if you were playing along with
what the first poster was getting at which IMO was that I was getting some
type of special treatment. That is completely untrue.Perhaps the only reason
I got the playfields sooner *might* just be as simple and intelligent as
they saw a way to fill 7 different orders in one shipment.Even that is just
a guess on my part and certainly doesn't explain why Mac got his or
brokenvette or Greg B etc.
Anyway no hard feelings but in the interest of fairness and to clarify
please read below.

I don't think you give JWJ enough credit. He would be the last one who
would think along the lines you state regardless of what he didn't say.

Another Gary know-nothing post causing a big stir of crap that ends up
being no big deal.

Bottom line- IPB isn't fantastic with customer service, some people are
pissed with the lack of feedback, Gary is being your cheerleader and
putting you in a bad spot all at the same time.

This place -was- a great place the last few months.

as Chris stated l and others have ours and l assume l have it
as it was part of the shipment that was being sent to Chris
why Chris? who knows ask IPB they would have a answer for that one

why we got ours before anyone else l have no idea
l do know that about 3 weeks ago some one stated (here) IPB had
sent some pf's back to the screen printers to be redone as Gene didn't
like
12-15 of them that may be the hold up

as for those getting pissed off all l can say is" wait it out"
as going by what mine looks like... they are well worth the wait
IPB's printer did a wicked Job and dare l say it Chris did a
"SPECIAL" job
clearing ,drilling

Unless, you got a really wacked clear-coat job from IPB, I really cant
imagine how CH could have made it any better. My field was dead-nuts
on, with an excellent clearcoat. Only 2 microscopic dirt in clearcoat?
spots, both under plastic and ramp.

Actually, I said when these were being made I wouldn't pay money to
people with no proven track record of being able to reproduce a quality
playfield. They did and I'm willing to pay for one. If you call that
dumb, then thats your perogative. I'm also sorry I'm not poor. It is
unfortunate that some of us do have spare cash to buy repro parts such
as driver boards, cabinet decals, and playfields. The fact that I
decide to spend some of my savings supporting this hobby is horribly
detrimental. Sorry dix, try again.

CH doesn't sell games, from what I hear. You are the one that put him
in the bad spot by implying he was getting special treatment from IPB.
Some friend you are speculating out of your ass.

You're not the only one. I signed up for the preorder long ago. I have
never gotten any type of email or phone call from IPB. If they decide
they want to sell me one I'm sure someone will contact me. If not, then
