Yes it's that time again! New York pinball is giving away another free game
to the first person that can claim it and get over there and pick it up with
the least amount of B.S and hassle. Here are the details as I know them,
doesn't power up, backglass looks very good, playfield has some wear, seen
better but seen worse, cabinet-typical, one of the legs supposedly broke
off, should be complete and can probably be brought back to life if you have
the skills and know-how. Email me when you can pick it up and i'll give you
the details. The only catch is you must wish me good karma :)

I got one from you last year and want to thank you again for that but I don't want to be greedy so someone else can grab this one. Ron is a great asset to the hobby just for those of you who don't know him!

I live in queens I would take this game if it is still available. My only concern is broken leg? Does that mean cabinet damage beyond my ability to fix? Does it just need a new leg? Andy fishman420 @ gmail .com

the fix is too, it's free!! Only downside would be if it has termites....
This is the way to get a Mata Hari - cabs you can fix/paint, the BG is
good, you can replace any missing boards, etc. and get a brand new PF
for it from CPR. You can make an almost perfect MH for < $1k.

The broken leg is going to require some carpentry skills, not bragging but
personally I posses the skills required to save this game, just not the
time. As of now the game is spoken for but if he backs out after seeing
these pics i'll update the post. Personally I prefer to save games rather
than parting them out.

Somebody claimed the machine, thanks to all who responded and the kind words
and good karma:) hopefully the person picking it up can revive this sucker

I had to pass. The dude is salt of the earth nice guy but tje game is
so far above my pay grade as a restore. Please offer it to dude above.
It is at ground level and right in to a truck. He needs it out of the
way. It is rough. YOu are good man and good karma. Let someone that
can make it right have it. Thank you again.

I would have taken it but like Mark, it does look above my resto abilities as well.
My brain goes "New front panel or new cab (then painting/stencils), repro PF and plastics".
Also the no powering up question. If I had another one this would be a perfect parts machine. Not to mention that backglass is very pretty :)

Worst case scenario is it needs a replacement body cabinet. You could probably make a Williams EM body cabinet work with minimal mods.

it's a players game, you can let it sit in storage until a cabinet comes
along, you can practice your playfield touch-up skills. So if it needs a
PCB, you can get a new one or used for around $100. You can put a block of
wood inside the cabinet to reinforce the corner, some glue and screws, bondo
is your friend, easy colors to touch up and blend in. Or you can part it out
and hang the backglass on the wall. Donate $50 to the Wounded Warriors and
you can have a nice backglass and some parts. You can give it to Todd at TNT
to throw off his roof, plenty of options here, hate to let the landfills
swallow up another one...........

I really don't get it with all these so called pinball guys. I made a 6 hour plus round trip last year to NYC to save one of your "free machines" and this year you post a better title with a bad cabinet and you can't get someone to come grab it.
Anyway - thanks for trying but I just don't have time this year to make that trip. I really wish someone would at least grab this machine for parts - it is such a shame to see it go out to the trash but I just can't do the trip right now!
Also how hard is it to find a cabinet body to toss the stuff into. Again - makes no sense this wasn't gone the first day it was listed!

I think part of the problem for most people is the cost of getting into NYC. Unless you already have to go to the city or live there tolls are crazy to get in and out of the city from just about anywhere.

For me it's just knowing what I am currently capable of doing. If I had zero projects currently going I would have grabbed it and gave it a go. But I have 3 Restos in queue and I couldn't get to this for a while. So I figured better to let someone else benefit who could devote time to it now.
