Ok gang. Have tried lots of things to narrow this one down.

Left flipper still loses at least 50% power during Hologram movie. It
can hardly hit the ball half way up the pf, plays fine when movie not
running.

We have verified that none of the motors are causing the drain (by
disconnecting each one, one at a time (thanks Chad). Have provided
extra sheilding to the flipper optos to avoid light bleed (thanks
Clay), have replaced the transformer as the original seemed to run hot
(thanks Keith).

So where should we look next?

Ideas please.

This is an obvious problem.

When you wake up the Gillman, he's pissed and yanking on the pawl
assembly to mess with you. This usually only happens when you place
your CFTBL next to your Twilight Zone pin.

Sorry... had ta' do it.

Boy, if Clay couldn't help you, I don't know who could.

Well, that is the classic light bleed problem, so I would want to try
two more things. Disconnect the hologram light, which will eliminate
any question of light bleed. Also, switch the flipper opto boards and
see if the problem moves.

There could also be a problem on the 12V supply, but that will
require some more exotic tests.

Have you checked outlet and games wiring ? both for 110 or 120 ?

Have you tried a different fliptronics board ? Have you tried a different
solenoid driver board ?

I'd keep ruling things out until you hit something. LTG :)

Borderline +12V is my hunch. Play the game with the translite out and the
door open, and keep an eye on the +12V pilot light. See if it changes
intensity or goes out completely while in movie mode.
