My double scoring flashers on the slings have stopped working. In test
they don't work either. There are no tech alerts. Where should I start
looking first? If didn't ask here first, I'm sure it would take me 5x as
long. Thanks all!!!!

I'll do that tonight Ben. What odds do you give me they would both burn
at exactly the same time?

I dunno. But from memory they are both controlled separate. So the odds
of a driver going on both is even higher than a bulb.

Aren't they a pain to get to?
Even to just check.

As Ben suggested check the bulbs, after that if they plug into an IDC
connector nearby, I'd be sure the wires are pushed in there tight making
good contact. LTG :)

Ben, you are the man. Both bulbs were blown. After talking to my friend,
who is a route tech, he suggested popping off the connectors and
metering them right under the playfield so I didn't have to pull all the
plastics off first "thanks Bryan"!!!!! He also said due to these
flashers not actually flashing when in double scoring but rather
pulsing, it is much harder on a light bulb. Luckily I had 2 left over
Cointaker 5 led flashers I put in there so I won't ever have to think
about them again.

FYI: Cointaker 5 led supers look amazing when in double scoring.

Thanks again to all for your help, I wish I knew more and could be a
better asset to you all !!!

They look badass. I love the GG slingshot Flashers. Coin takers super
flashers are a must.

A must especially on TFLE. With that double scoring light effect bulbs
will go often. I don't wanna rip those plastics apart every 400 plays .

There's really no need to take off the plastics. I took out the GI
derectly under flasher socket. On each side of the sling I used I used
really thin screw drivers to squeeze the lock prongs loose. There is
just enough space to get the Flasher socket out to replace bulb. Very
carefully of course.

Damn it Dale, now you tell me. I told the wife " I'll be back up in 15
minutes" last night, 45 minutes later rolled back upstairs. TFLE is my
first and probably only NIB pin so I am crazy careful whenever I am
inside it.

I changed all the rubbers to white and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
I put Cointakers Super bright purple on the left and super bright red on left.
The purple looks MUCH better than the regular flasher.

A much bigger improvement is the super flex cool white LEDs I used to replace the LED directly under the flasher socket.
I didn't like the way it shined directly under the flasher socket and blocked the majority of the light.
I didn't want to move the 555 socket so I used the flex LED.
It provides great light on the lower portion of the playfield and makes it easier to tell if the rollover insert is lit.

I think the white rubbers look great and play great!.
I also replaced the red rubber post with purple.

Next 1mm or very small SMT LEDs in Megatron's eyes.
This game begs to be modded.
