I played the Whitewood at expo as well and really liked it. I actually
like the looks of the whitewood version better than the finished game,
it looks more Futuristic!
I didn't really searched for it but I saw one in the classified and
called... and missed it for 350$ :( ... so I knew it was somebody from
around and found him ... and called dibs if he ever wanted to sell
it ... and he kept his word :) ... for only double the price !
The back legs actually had the 1 inch spacer like the manual is
calling! never seen those before!

I had a mint one about 7 years ago, sold it at auction, what a
mistake. Really cool game, great sounds and lights. Backglass and
playfield art is awesome, miss that one. Partical board cabinet was
only drawback.

Thanks, I have about 200 hrs in the cab, and about $1100 in paint and
materials...
the cab was in ROUGH shape..structurealy great but had lumps and bumps
all over it...if the finish becomes scratched, or gouged and any kind of
moisture gets to it it swells up and looks like it has herpes...LOL
if any of you at Expo felt the cab you woulda noticed it fells like
silk, and is razor straight..
body filler hand blocked on the entire BB and Cab, and hand blocking and
repriming 5 or 6 times with urethane auto primer is the trick there...
I used all RM products....Mat black urethane as well, same paint i use
when i spray rat rods or do black masks on Mopars....
It was so sorth all the work....i am very happy with the way it turned
out...
Gerry the TX is nice! I saw some pics of it about a year ago and really liked it. how did you come about getting that? Have you heard of any others out there? I have a regular TX in the garage waiting on restore after I finish a Dr. who I am working on. I also have a Gottlieb Genesis I restored and the last thing I am doing is designing some hybrid replacement ramps for it. I modified the back box to a more modern hinge style(see link below). I know it's not keeping in the authenticity of the original but I love the way it came out!! and it wasn't easy believe me! Will do the same to TX when I get to it.
