I think this is the machine I drove to Toronto with the intention of
buying it last May. It is by far the biggest piece of crap I had ever
seen. I drove from Dearborn to Toronto and back to Ann Arbor in one
night, with money in hand. I left sadder, wiser and about $75 of gas
poorer. Here is what I remember of this "near mint" POS.
1. Playfield down to the wood. Note that the bottom two purple
circles have no lettering in them. Compare this to the IPDB
pictures. I can send you pictures of what it looked like before.
2. Back door NAILED on. A nail driven through the top of the back box
into the back door.
3. Ball trough at top of PF so dished out, that the ball gets stuck in
it. I think you can see that in one of the pictures.
4. Numerous broken plastics. The middle big one looks taped.
5. Backglass "touched up" with about 4 shades of testors. None of
them right.
6. Backbox - ditto.
7. Other misc. stuff that seems to be fixed.
The guy asked me what I thought is was worth. I told him that it
might be a parts game, but I didn't see any parts worth having. His
kid begged my to take it for $300. I said thanks, but no thanks.
Bottom line. Check it out in person before bidding. I have no
intention of bidding myself. Scary machine.

Here was the question and answer on the item:
Q: Why does your "all original", "near mint" machine have horrible
touch-ups in the bottom two purple areas. There is supposed to be
white lettering there, (inside the purple) where did it go?
A: Who knows, the machine is from 1976 and is in great shape for its
age, do us a favour and don't bid.......
The seller has Zero feedback.
Those are the only pics we have right now, the weak areas would be by the
front door of the machine, the paint is chipped a little see the pics of the
lower cabinet....
I resent another Q: Cool, no playfield issues? that's the most important to
me. You say it's near mint. I'd love to get one in top condition. Does the
backglass have any signs of peeling?

I asked him how he could call it mint with all the issues it had and
here was the response I got back:
"thanks, FYI . If you feel that way don't bid... also why do you fix
falcons what a waste of time that is rusty garbage.... see i can
degrade your stuff too... don't contact us again...."
I told him I fixed F-16 Fighting Falcons and not Fords. Jokes on him.

Guys got a point.
Why bother writing just to berate the guy? If you don't like it don't
bid.
"ANY BIDDERS WITH ZERO OR LOW FEEDBACK PLEASE EMAIL PRIOR TO BIDDING
OR YOUR BIDS WILL BE CANCELLED AND YOU WILL BE BLOCKED FROM BIDDING
FURTHER."
Yet he has Zero feedback himself

The seller of the Jacks Open is know criminal and convicted fraud
artist Stephen Anderson. If you don't know of him you can read his
bio on the Mr. Pinball Blacklist. He is supposed to be banned on ebay
and also has a Eight Ball Deluxe and Sinbad listed.
Bid at your own risk.
It is now up to $425. Good luck to whoever wins the POS.

i will claim that comment i am pinballmadness78
For all your pissing and moaning and berating this guy, the thing sold
for 850 bucks.
Who's laughing now?
I don't understand why some guy spending $850 on a parts machine is
funny. Maybe you can explain.
If you think that is hilarious, you probably did the group a favor by
posting this before anyone has any business dealings with you. Maybe
better be careful trading for that Demolition Man.
The bid history looks weird on that auction...
...The bid history is weird on ALL his auctions. He clearly states
that he will refuse ALL bidders with zero feedback. Hmmm... he
cancelled one bid due to the seller having a feedback rating of 1, but
oddly enough, pretty much all the ''runner-up'' bidders that ended up
jacking up the price of the auctions have... zero feedback.
If anything, these auctions should be reported as shills.
Oh yeah... and for your viewing pleasure, if the Ebay seller truly is
Anderson, you might find this funny if you haven't seen it:
... I guess someone decided to get back at him. Tese ads are posted
all over the Kijiji network!
