FS: HUO TSPP w/ bacbox mod. Pics.

I've got a HUO Simpson's Pinball Party that's 2 months out of the box with
only 187 plays on it, for sale. I've also wired in a Williams backbox light
board with GI lights and flashers instead of the single fluorescent tube.
The GI lighting makes a huge difference in the look of the translite. It
really gives off a warmer and richer tone.
Also, all 10 flashers on the playfield are wired in to 10 separate bulbs on
the board. A couple examples of where the flashers were placed on the light
board are: Homers head flasher on the game was tied to a flasher bulb
behind Homer on the Translite and the pop bumper flasher was tied to a
flasher bulb under the explosion on the Nuclear Cooling Tower.

There were a few other improvements (IMO) I did as well, they are:
Change out all the black plastic posts on the game to blue and change all
the rubber to white. I also added a couple of extra characters. Moe, with
a phone and Apu with a squishee and a hot dog.

Price is $3600 and the game is located in Phoenix. Pick up would be great
but I do have the original box & wrappings, it was shipped in, so shipping
wouldn't be a problem.

The only reason I can think you would do all that work and turn around
and sell the game so fast is that you really really need the money. If
that is the case, it's a shame you won't get to enjoy the fruits of
your labor. I'm sure somebody will be very very very happy with your
machine.

I still have an extra Williams head lightboard from a demolition man with
mounting hardware that would look good in a Stern cabinet if anyone is
interested in doing this mod.

Shoot me an offer with shipping included if interested. Best offer over $50
gets it.

It comes with all the bulb sockets, wiring harness and 44 bulbs and flashers
[think they are 89's].

If all the cheezy shortcuts Stern has taken with it's pins, the florescent
lamp in the backbox is the one that bothers me the most. Great job adapting
the light board! Was it a difficult modification? Did you have to hack
anything up to get it in?

Hey John,

Wasn't to difficult at all. Just needed a small transformer, to run the GI
circuit, and cut 3/4 of an inch of the side of the light board to fit. All
the hardware fit no problem. If you've got a Stern, you must do this mod.
It's fantastic.

I just noticed this thread; I've seen this pin and the difference is
tremendous, more than a pic can show. It really transforms the translight
and changes the quality of it. PS if you're thinking about buying it from
Tim, don't even hesitate, it's hardly been played and he takes great care
with his pins.

I don't get how you can get a game and only play it 187 times in 2
months?? It would be up to 1500 at my house.

It can depend on how many games you own in your collection.
The more games you have, the less number of games on each, as a general
rule.
