You think Stern would tip off its hand like that? Well you could be
right but there again i think a new spiderman flick is a couple months
down the road it make more sense to hold off on Family Guy and release
spiderman when the new movies comes out and then come out with family
guy around christmas.

It's no secret that Family Guy is the Pat Lawlor team (Oct/Nov)and
Spiderman(April/May) is the Steve Ritchie team. I just hope with all
the success of POTC and a little more design money and budget that
Stern sees sales=theme and depth of design. POTC will sell a ton and
just may be their best seller ever !! Long live pinball !!

Did Seth do the Art or Did Youssi?? Wonder how long we will have to
wait on this one for any info/pics

Im very excited about this one especially with the New Board set this
would really put this theme into full effect hell why not try for a
full color DMD if that would be even possible like haveSurfact mount
LEDS Lined up in rows and columns in place of the DOTs that could
project anycolor like the mini LED signs Stern Has used before for TSPP

I think PLD will go over the time :-) he loves the show gives little
more thrive to enjoy the theme like he did on Monopoly

Greaaaaaaaaaaaaat. I suppose that's better that WPT, but not much
better, and not much appeal to me as a theme. This could easily end up
another South Park... based off a show that won't be all that much of a
draw in a couple of years and if they gimmick it too hard the game will
suck just as much.

Great idea! But I think you have confused a "football widow" with
"Footballers Wive$". Footballers Wive$ is a trashy, over the top late
night soap opera on BBC about the lives of some football players and
their wives and girlfriends. Kinda like Dallas or Dynasty. It's my
favorite guilty pleasure since Fastlane was cancelled.

South Park seemed to be doing okay when I was at Lloyd's. Of course
it could have been a flukey day. But it's a recognizable theme with a
decent sound package. I totally agree that it is not a pinballer's
pin, but for the casual player I think it would still coax a few
quarters out of people's pockets faster than a fair amount of the
non-licensed games out there.

In my experience, casual players walk up to South Park, yell "hey
there's a toilet on there", and then walk past it to put quarters in
something else. Anything else.

I am a huge Family Guy fan and I am even considering buying this new.

Even I admit that this license may not have the broadest of appeal.
Then again, I cannot fathom why the first POTC movie was good enouth to
spawn two sequels, a million toys and a pinball machine. This (to me)
is a case where merchandising is more important than the product (the
movie).

What's my point?...I have none.

South Park made a TON of money on route when it was new. That's why most
of the South Parks that you see for resale are beaten to death!

Must be a regional thing because I have rarely seen them here and the
ones I've seen, if there were any other decent machines, sat idle more
often than the others.

Consider also that South Park is a pretty old game now; seven and a half
years old at this point. More or less the only people interested in
playing a seven and a half year old pin are going to be pinball people, and
pinball people aren't interested in south park.

Go back and read the test reports (some written by me... :) ) of when RFM

casual players than RFM or SWE1, due *entirely* to its license.

So, granting that your data is probably more reaching than what I've
seen in my experience... one cannot possibly compare the scope of
effect a South Park license had then with what a Family Guy will have a
year from now. That was a major hit show at its peak vs a show that
has a cult following but by then will have have already been cancelled
multiple times years before.

Honestly, the only comparison at all is in the subject matter. The
strength of license is a complete and total loss compared to South
Park. It may even be a loss compared to WPT, which also has a crappy
niche license IMO but at least was current when WPT came out.

This game is going to be wildly popular. Teenagers and preeteens are
some of the shows biggest fans....(not that I condone parents letting
the little ones watch it)

Stewie is a hit with the gals.

The game has to have the humor in it though....not sure what kind of
toys you put on this game.....hopefully not any of Quagmires.

I think South Park is a great way to look at this pin. SOuth Park is
still popular on location. Ops wont turn loose of them. Most are wore
the heck out. And it had several production runs.
