Tech: 1972 Bally Fireball PF Glass Dimensions?

Can someone tell me the exact size? I'm thinking 21" x41".....

It took some doin' (first time out) and looks like there has been a
lot of beer spilled on it since '72.
Mine is 21" x 41 1/2".

Thanks, Mark...I appreciate the reply. When you said "It took some
doin' (first time out)", were you referring to removing the PF glass
from the frame? If so, was it due to the tape holding the glass in the
channel of the frame or something else? Does anyone have a different
size Fireball PF glass than Mark has in his game? I'm getting ready to
have s new PF glass cut for my Fireball and wanted to know the exact
size before removing my old glass and ordering a new one from my local
glass cutter.

Yes, I have never taken the glass out of the frame before. So it was
"glued" in there with 35+ year old beer, coke and whatever!!! There
was no tape, just U channel rubber parts, gunked up with crud. I have
not shopped out this machine yet.
If your glass is not broken, take it with you to the glass cutter. If
you are getting tempered (and you should), don't forget to order it
without the logo.

How did you finally get the glass out? Warm water to soften or melt
the crud?

No, just persistence. Once the lock down bar is off, the side rails
kind of pivot to the side. The back playfield glass channel was the
worst, but just kept pulling and tapped on the side rails...and
finally got it to free up.
You could probably loosen it up with mean green, warm water, etc. if
you had to? If it is the first time off in that many years, it's
bound to be a bit stubborn!

I'm sure you're right about being difficult to remove. My PF glass
isn't all that bad, but I want to get the siderails, lockdown bar and
siderail hinges chromed. So I have to take this thing apart.
