Flipper button removal?

I am trying to get these flipper buttons out of a cabinet but they
don't seem to want to budge. Obviously they are supposed to
unscrew...is there a trick to this I am missing?

I know I have a lot of questions but I am a total newb at
restoration. It seems that everything I do poses another problem, and
I can't find the answers by searching old posts. I very much
appreciate any assistance, I will try and reciprocate when I have
something to offer.

Which game ? Usually power off, look inside, there is a sheet metal looking
nut on it. Unscrew that and remove, push the button out. LTG :)

Thanks alot Lloyd. It's a JY and I see what you mean now. I was
trying to unscrew the button itself, I didn't realize that metal piece
wasn't attached to the cabinet (like I said, total newb lol). I got
one to move just a bit with pliers but the other one won't
budge...probably have to remove the flipper board things to get at
them with a socket set I guess.

And just to introduce myself, I am Tracy Johnson. I won your May Day
singles tourney this past year so we have met - I think there is even
photographic evidence somewhere out there. Only opportunity I have
ever had to play BBB, MM and AFM. It's great that there are people
like you out there keeping things going, especially someone who seems
to enjoy passing on his knowledge. Looking forward to making the trip
again in '10 :)

Hey Tracy, small world. Two screws, remove the flipper button opto board and
then you can get at it easier. might not have room for a socket. LTG :)
