I Just picked up an old Genco South Pacific Wood Rail

Keep in mind that my oldest game before this is an Atari S*uperman. I find
this game very cool!! Something about the History... Also, I am amazed at
how much of it works on the same principles as the newer games, The same
Coils, Lamps, points or leaf switches. Playfield support, Very cool!! I
don't know what I expected, but still!

I was told that it is not working and haven't plugged it in to see what's up
yet, but I am pretty excited.

Are there any schematics, manuals paperwork etc. that I should look at
before I plug it in? I am going to go see what Clay has to say about these
games. Anybody??

Any Parts available that I should be looking for?

That's a cool old game. I love the tropical themed pins, and it seems
that years ago, the United and Genco games frequently had this theme.
How's the overall condition?

Overall it looks good, cabinet is pretty nice, nothing Major. The playfield
looks really good in parts, but has some rather poor touchups around a
couple of the kick out holes. The Backglass looks nice, although the color
has a bit of a 50+ year look to it. Overall I am pleased, Game cost only
$200.00 Cdn, so $160.00ish US.

I still haven't had time to have a good look yet, so I haven't even plugged
it in yet. I did notice a couple of wires off in the back, but I think
nothing to major yet.

Interesting that you mention that, I just ordered a bunch of parts from
them, and they said they wouldn't know much about it. I will have to call
again and see what they have!!

Sounds like a great score. If you check IPDB, you'll see the schematic
for two other Genco games are virtually identical. If the usual
sources don't have any paper on it (which is likely), I'd try to
contact the owners whose pictures are displayed on IPDB as well as
listing a Wanted in the Pinball Classifieds. Just follow Clay's advice
on EM games and don't be in a hurry to fire it up. I wouldn't worry
about parts until you have a need for them. I got a 1940's game going
with a few parts I picked up at Radio Shack.
