Ultraviolence is a Circle 3.0 based mud which has been in development
for nearly a year so far. We're currently seeking good, preferably
experienced, zone builders willing to write challenging and richly
described areas fitting a medieval atmosphere.

Although we still have some ways to go before opening, in terms of
general playability :), we've have already filled in quite a few
builder-related amenities, including:

- a full online creation system (rooms, mobs, objects, zones); menu
based and very simple to use
- a line editor integrated into OLC, allowing room descriptions to be
automatically justified, lines deleted and inserted, etc.
- resistances and immunities; rings of fire resistance can be created,
for example.
- levers and buttons can be created to control doors, teleportation,
and other aspects
- automatic fill in for weapon damage, mob hit points, experience,
item weight/value, etc. based on level; defaults can be overwritten but
encourage consistency
- item material types, determining weight and resistance to item damage
- overhead zone mapping command, making complex maps easier to create
- traps (damage, teleport, petrification, paralysis) settable on doors
- other nifty things: room damage (lava :), regenerative rooms, hidden
doors, moveable wagons/boats, and more..

If you're looking for a mud focused not only on code, but well written
and rich areas, we strive to be such; the implementors of UV have
several years of building experience as well, and we try to keep an
active hand in having everything consistent and standard. If you're
interested, can write reasonably grammatically correct English :) and
willing to commit some time, send an e-mail to jf...@pobox.com, or a
message on the board at mars.galstar.com 3000.
