sorry if anyone's messages got spammed back to you via the mail
system! And thanks for taking some interest in the CthulhuMUD
project. Current changes are as followS:

** ANSI and VT100 support fully added
** Rituals added:

Whats a ritual? A ritual is a powerful form of magick that
can do things normal magick cannot. Rituals require a vast
amount of mana which is consumed when a caster has grouped
with a vast amount of people, whose collective mana totals
more than the ritual's required mana. Mana is taken from
the leader of the group first, then sucessively for each of
the respective group members, ending only when it consumes
the required amount of mana. Rituals allow much more than
simple combat or healing magicks. They allow the perminant
sealing of doors, complete and utter destruction of monster
and NPC foes. They even allow the blessing of a player so
as to remove the KILLER and THIEF flags.

** Catalyst items added:

Whats a Catalyst: A catalyst item is an item that allows
a caster to begin performing a ritual. Each catayst can
be used in multiple rituals, and can also be exclusive to
a single potent ritual. Catalysts can be anything, and
are essential to rituals.

** Vehicles added, replacing BOAT items and allowing more vehicular freedom
** The ACT_SCRAMBLE flag has been added, to allow MOBS to run all over the
place. This is useful with opening a door to a room full of locked up
SCRAMBLE mobs. The Scramblers come flying out of the room and attack.
** MUTTER and WHISPER commands added to add to player intrigue :)
** Map totally rewritten.

Planned changes:

** Script files for SPEC mobs.
** THROWN items that work as 'staffs from afar'.. can be thrown through a door
to help to damage a MOB before the group ventures in.
** BUTTON items that allow the opening and closing of certain exits
** LEVER items that move the contents of a room
** Spells that cause a player to burn (BURNING items and the AFF_FLAMING have
already been implemented by me, but I haven't done the spells yet)

I've also added a method of PKilling rules and a special room flag. PKILLED
players no longer lose a corpse or EXP. And I've added a SUICIDE command for
those really hopeless situations.
