Hey,

You know how the discount sometimes seems too good to be true?
Sure enough, ChaosOrc sent only a partial shipment.
I email them about the balance of my order -

COC: Gimme your PayPal number and I'll credit you.
Me: I didn't send COC too much money; COC sent me too few models.
COC: Gimme your PayPal number and I'll credit you.
Me: Send me the "in stock" items you were paid for!
COC: ...

Has anyone else here dealt with "Andrew" at COC?
So far, I'm not feeling any love.

I'd bet a glass of Jameson that "Andrew" couldn't pass a Turing test.

Is there a link to the web site in question, and did you ever get
a satisfactory reply or the problem resolved?

Mint condition Rogue Trader book? I don't believe such a thing exists.
They came pre-fallen apart from the printers.

Andy (customer "service") is chao...@verizon.net

No. Not even a word since last Thursday. [rant]

The two problems with the order, both easily fixed:

1. "Loose" models listed at 35%-off were actually "incomplete"
models.
(Note that these models were not listed in any "bits" section.)

If incompleteness had been indicated - in the text or accompanying
photo -
this would certainly have put the whole 35% thing in a new light.
As is, I was expecting shrink-wrap/ boxes/ frames to be missing.

Instead, bits, decals, instructions and even the bases were missing.

"Andrew" argued that their listing had specifically said
"incomplete".
(Naturally, the listing in question had been memory-scrubbed by this
time).
He refused to "give" me 3 plastic bases so I could even begin to build
them.

> problem resolved?

2. Fewer models were shipped than were paid-for.
Easy fix: Apologize, throw-in 3 plastic bases w/ missing merch.
Reality: No apology, no bases, no balance shipped, no email replies.

Here's what my dental fillings are telling me:
COC was adamant about NOT including those 3 "free" bases in my
shipment -
*because they already knew there wasn't going to BE any balance
shipment*.

If you don't have to pay for your screw-ups, you're not a screw-up,
right? [/rant]

I'm giving them until this Thursday before I contact PayPal
Resolution.

Wow! No shit, that sucks. Yeah, I'd take it up with Paypal too
on the principle that if you don't they'll keep trying to screw other
customers the same way. These guys will definitely NOT be getting
recommended by me to other gamers. Stupid Yobs...
