Space marines are normal humans before they get given all the organs and
shit right? So they could have families and stuff? Because I was thinking of
just for fluff purposes, have my DA Captain have like his famous fathers
armour or something like that, but it just counts as artificer armour. So is
it possible they may have things handed down?

Not really. Once a Marine is inducted into the Chapter he leaves his
past behind completely. He'd probably never return to his homeworld,
and certainly he'd never see his family again.

Stop that! You posted something relevant. It was not a whine or a flame.
You know Justin will not put up with this when he gets back.

But I can see why a DA would be attracted to them, just one mention of heavy
flamers and they're away.
Back to the original topic, DA's sever all ties with their past when they join
the chapter. Just read Commander Azrael's induction speach. Also, since
recruitment for the DA's occurs from many different planets as they travel, it
is doubtful that enrollment would span several generations within the same
family.

It depends from what time you started to play your DA. A friend of mine has been
playing them since the time of yore, and his DA are totally designed according to
the 'indian' fluff.

But anyway, to get back to the problem, Space Marine are if memory serves engaged
and changed relatively young (anybody remembers the age of the young recruits in
'Space Marine'?), but then live much more longer than normal human, so that a
space marine would typically outlive several generations of his successors...

I think we're all forgetting the Deathwing story....Dark Angels, a grandfather
and grandson both were inducted. The time between recruiting batches from the
same world would prevent father and son serving together, due to the fact that
the Dark Angles cycle through several recruiting worlds, but your Captain could
wear his grandfather's armor.

I've tried marriage. Didn't like it. Single is the only why to be in the
Western World.

You even bothered to try it? I'm well-known as someone who will try
anything once, but marriage is just a silly idea. I cannot see why
anyone would want to do it.

It's as they say "Marriage is a commitment. People who want to be committed,
should be".
