Hey,

I don't remember hearing a peep about this 'stealth FAQ' 5-6wks ago:

http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m2250129_FAQ_SpaceMarines_Nov2009

Also, we now know we're getting a new Doombull in 2010.

http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/8798/doomb.jpg

There's an Orky Dread/ Kan/ vehicle sprue of some kind:

http://gwutil.com/2010_en.htm?utm_source=aupreview2010&utm_medium=email&utm_term=preview&utm_content=imagelinkbody&utm_campaign=AU-Preview-2010

And the usual desperate clinging to the NewLine license . . .

But what else may be in the works?

+++

Swear-on-a-stack-o-bibles studio eye-witness accounts:

* New GK Terminator 3ups (5 poses, 1 HQ/leader)
* New Daemonhunter/ Witchhunter concept art

Possibly a few blisters as well.

As far as DE, I am reasonably certain a DE release is on the
horizon based on what I know. But I also know there are unresolved
issues from a business standpoint, so I'd say 50% max chance to see DE
in 2010, greater chance in 2011. From an art/model standpoint, the DE
are an "evolution" from past incarnations. Some are downright "evil"
looking.

I've seen loads of speculation on IG ST ... being part of the
Missions releases, but honestly it seems like there are more models
than could possibly fit in a release.

As far as inquisition, I've only seen GK. And I think these are
great looking models, they retain the individualism. The details are
all there. Certain "options" were shown. Discussions around expanded
chapter organization were had. I think GK players will be happy once
these are released.

One thing I saw again was the Webway terrain. It definitely looks
like a test plastic pull, but I couldnt get hands on it to really
review. The scratchbuilt Nid terrain was also on display.

I have heard also that future eldar will have some sort of riding
flying beast. I believe it's mentioned in the current codex, but just
fluff. I don't think a new eldar codex is any time soon though, so no
one get excited.

Same source has also stated that the ork kit preview seen on GW
site and newsletter will make it possible to build both the dread and
killa kan.

+++

I got to see the DH/WH character designs yesterday, there are
about a dozen named inquisition, incl existing.

one looks like a gk chaplain.
a sister w what looks like twin arm mounted SBs.
a named preacher.
new concept for throne of judgement less like a converted dread.
sister w twin cat o nine tails.
confessor w a big staff w what looks like integrated flamer
named seraphin w new jump pack, more marine like (large jets) but
retains some archaic details,
also has sword and combi weapon
another gk named justicar, w 2 ended force weapon.
a gk vehicle based character

Latest on DE and BA

BA is rumoured to have two attacks basic and Furious Charge
according to starblayde.

Latest on the DE by turelhim vampire:

Apparently the ENTIRE range has been redone - completely new
models for everything.
Games Workshop are waiting for the right time to release them.

I'm inclined to say that the "Plastic Greater Demon" is actually the
"Plastic Demon Prince".

Dark Eldar: the "correct time" that GW is waiting for is "The Day
After Never". They've been Squatted, move on.

Past tense. Complete. But GW is afwaid of weleasing butch Xenos wight

This would be greatly appreciated as the 2nd Ed trakks and
warbuggys just plain look 'old' sitting beside any of the current Orky

Sounds nice, but since I've already got 3 of each gun, I don't

They now ALL come baring the mark of their new patron Diety of

field.

There are NO Chaos gods (they were all eaten by the Tyranids -
which would explain why the Nids are about to turn into a bunch of
uninteresting twats). There are only angry angry 'Renegade' Marines
with badly maintained equipment, and their UPC horde allies.

huh? what does that even mean?

if i were GW in the present economic climate--ESPECIALLY in the UK--i'd be
throwing out as much new material as i could afford to and PRAYING that some
of it caught on and sold, even only short-term. do they seriously think, as
a niche/luxury producer, that they can continue applying a c.2000 marketing
strategy to *2010* and get away with it?

we've been hearing this same shit sporadically since the hype-up to the Eye

You don't read the right sites then. Warseer, LO, and my own site had topics
about it.

The only change was the Legion of the Damned sgt weapon options, so the
rules fit the new model.

And yet your OP suggests you had no idea it had been released. I was merely

It looks suspiciously like a wish list - few things that players
haven't been calling for are missing. New Crisis would be great (if
they're any good) but I suspect unlikely - the old ones seem to sell
judging by how many Tau players use suit armies. I can't see any
reason they'd choose now to redo the Daemons in plastic if they didn't
do it in the first release. The Eldar plastics are needed, but again I
don't see any reason for them at the moment - and until the Codex
revision they aren't going to be making any profits on plastic support
weapons or Wraithguard.

The old ones sell because the only alternative is Forgeworld (Cha-
Ch$ng!), or skipping the unit. And since rules-wise they're a vaulable
unit without an equally viable replacement, they get used.

I can - since the army is identical model wise in 40K and WFB, why
not make plastics and kill two birds with one stone. I'd be willing to
bet that for GW the profit margins are better on plastics than on
metals.

Apparently in one of the novels a Tau Ethereal manages to
communicate with the Tyranid Hive Mind... my friend hadn't gotten any
farther in the book, so he didn't know how the conversation turns
out...

I could only imagine it as being something like this:

Tau: "Is there any way we can be at peace?"
Tyranid: "I can has Tauburger?"

Thinking about it, that also makes me suspicious of this list - we
know the new jetbike models have been done, at least as concept
models, and Goodwin has said they're the Eldar plastics he next wants
to revisit - the fact that they aren't in this schedule is odd to say
the least.

also... Plastic Horrors, Plaguebearers and Demon Prince were all
supposed to be part of "Chaos Demons Wave 2" that has yet to happen.

as it stands, I have no interest in newe horrors anyway since I have
ametric ton of the old ones. If the do plastic Plaguebearers, i'll at
least take a look at them since i don't have many. I have money set
aside for Plastic Demon Prince... 2 or 3 actually, if it gets put out
before I lose interest. that is NOT money that will get diverted if
they continue to take their sweet time.

i have 3 old Demon Princes from Red Era that do just fine. Plus, my
old GD's could stand in if i really needed them too... I'm happy with
those being Greater Demons for now tough.. especially when one of the
local kids whines about them and the store staff have to sheepishly
remind the kid that they're legal models.

"No really kid, if you want me to use new Greater Demons, buy them for

Fine, I thought I'd be generous and use the term "suggests". Obviously a

I read your post. I quoted 1 line because it was the only relevant one. If I
was going to advertise my site, I'd just post an advert. Welcome to
unmoderated usenet, where anyone can post anything. Yeah, Me > you. And your
initial post, that was you > everybody, because you had found this FAQ that
nobody else had posted about. Ooooo. Try looking at the big community sites
more than once every 3 months and you might keep your finger on the pulse of
the GW community.

As to including my site name, notice I put it last, and didn't link to it
either, deliberately because this wasn't a "hey visit my site" post. I
included it because like the other 2 sites it had content about the FAQ
posted back when it first surfaced, it was merely a statement of fact.

I notice you rarely quote your sources - instead of just trawling up the
rumours and posting them, why not also link to the sites you ripped off so
that the followup discussions can be read by other people here in RGMW?

Crisis Commanders are compulsory now, that usually helps with sales
too. I've actually got seven Crisis Suits in my army - a Shas'O
Commander with two bodyguards, a three-suit Elites team, and the
O'Shovah (Commander Farsight) special character.

A large part of my army is made up of the contents of two of the old
Tau Battleforce sets, which each had three Crisis Suits in. I haven't
bothered buying the new Commander that they brought out with the
latest Codex and I can't see myself getting any of the new Crisis
Suits either.

Other than buying a couple more Sniper Drone teams I can't really
think of anything else I need. The last things I bought were extra
Vespids to bring the two squads up to full strength.
