Did anybody find anything worthwhile about Dragon Rising? It
just made me angry. Yes, important stuff happened, but I didn't really
care about it by the time we got there, after all of the pointless
brutal serial killing, gratuitous characters, and apparently irrelevant
sub-plots...

Tim, for some reason this doesn't seem to be propagating.

Other than this message, all of the other messages that are on Killfile.org
are on Cox.Net

Oh, and haven't read Dragon Rising; only DA novel I've read is Wolf Hunters
(though I'm looking forward to more in that storyline)

I'm not really sure what's going on. It *eventually*
propagated...

This post (your reply to me) propagated to Cox within two seconds
(literally!). The parent post of the thread has NEVER shown up on Cox.

Anyhow, I'm starting to read the BT novels again; I never got through to
Victor's entrance into the Clan Home Worlds, though, only through Vlad and
Katrina's folly. Then I picked up a MW:DA novel, and while I KNOW who
what's happened to an extent, it's still new.

I actually liked it. We see that Fortress Republic is actually a
fortress, I mean, totally warped warships?
Fun with Kurita's line of succession, etc.

I admit, I liked that part.

Not so much this part, though; that was gratuitous too. It just
seemed like an afterthought...

(How do we handle spoiler warnings around here nowadays, anyway?)

You think so?
It seemed well-integrated into the story for me.

> (How do we handle spoiler warnings around here nowadays, anyway?)

I have no idea, actually.
And my post didn't show up on my ISP's rgm, just your reply. Weird.
