I have another mahjong session this Sunday. So far, 33 people have
said they are coming. Last month, we had about 30 show up. There is
undeniably something going right.
And yet, very few if any of these fine folks play the game outside
these meetings. I don't know if any of them play online at all. I
would so very much like to start a league, but until players actually
get games going now and then, they probably don't have enough interest
to commit to regular sessions.
After teaching over 100 local folks to play, and nearly outgrowing our
meeting rooms, I have yet to find a group with an interest level that
approaches mine.
I will definitely keep these monthly sessions going, and perhaps add
another one each month in another part of town.
