Subject: Looking for "Kan Hu" (看虎)
The International Playing-Card Volume 31 Number5 has the English
translation I read. I have some questions that need further
clarification. I am looking for the Chinese text of "Kan Hu" 看虎,
(Watching the Tiger) for a careful study of the game. Is it on the
net? I would appreciate if someone could provide me a link to it.
Thanks.

From page 227 of TPC v31 N5, I quote: "As for the 'leopard cub' and
'pangolin' combinations, Li Baowen added them on a winter's night in a
room by Qinbuai River (Nanjing). As for the names 'chen', qiong' and
'fu', (for the combinations), they were changed by Fang Ruoan.
Further research will have to be done on this..."

In the translated text, the words above seem to be Pan Zhiheng's own.

It's interesting to know how names and definitions can come about. We
will never know how many such situations in the history of games.
