Pentari First Light - need help

Played the infocom games many years ago, but embarrassed to say that I
cannot get out of the first room scenario. Been to the Warehouse and
Bostwin Harbor. Cannot get any interaction out of any characters in
the warehouse. Could someone give me a jump start?

I just want to say... I wouldn't want to put the false accusation I
leveled against him against my worst nightmare. It was completely
