Thanks for the quiz, Jan ... here's another one.

Each of the following is an anagram of a game. Most of them are IF comp
entries from the last few years, but a few non-comp games are included as
well.

The anagrams do not necessarily describe the games! (Though some do).

1) It not a flop.
2) Had no poems.
3) Push, sisy.
4) Am I sane?
5) Bite herb? Do tell.
6) He find trap.
7) A non-hope ballad.
8) Ant chess.
9) The mad holder.
10) Go sunbathe.
11) A helpful pad, well girt.
12) Hail Cubers.
13) A design hurls volt.
14) Square cleric.
15) Air duct ten: hot, dry.
16) Asylum pit.
17) Be sulky.
18) No brake, man.
19) Alien few.
20) Gem tour.
21) Asset drew me.
22) Right kelp.
23) One kiss to go
24) He insult my Miagee!
25) Rage at foe.
26) Thy metal.

A first look made me solve 1, 3 and 14. Let's see about the rest. Fun
puzzle!

The multiple choice test is pretty good as well. The "Zombie" question
is hilarious, and the discovery that somebody has written a text
adventure about the small Dutch island Texel _in Esperanto_ made my day. :D

I see an AnagramComp in our future.

Speaking (were we?) of palindromes, why is there such a good chance
that any given palindrome could be an IF game clue? The average
palindrome seems to have sufficiently evocative language but also be
vague enough to create a Forer-like effect. For example...

1) Not we few - ton!
2) "I Love Me, Vol. I."
3) Dr. Awkward.
4) Dumb mud.
5) No garden. One dragon.
6) Party boobytrap.
7) I prefer pi.

versus two other (obvious/cheesy) ones:

8) Avalon was I ere I saw Novala.
9) X-opener, I; Lion, an oil, Irene: pox!

How about some word-unit palindromes? These ones are all quite easy,
I'm afraid.

1. Robot finds slaves' quarters. "Master, that master quarters
slaves," finds robot.
2. Life of robber that loots pyramid: pyramid loots that robber of
life.
