As long as we're asking questions here, I'm rather stuck. As someone else pointed out, the hint system isn't terribly comprehensive, and here is quite unhelpful.
Minor spoilers ahead:
I'm stuck in the room where Holmes is tied up and acting mad.
The hint just says something like, "Do what you've always wanted to do to Holmes." So I tried things like slapping him and stuff, but that didn't work. Talking to him doesn't work anymore, because he babbles too loudly. And I can't leave the room before I deal with him. What's intended here?
