I will post some brief comments of each winner to share a little of
the concept behind each winner. First Venenarius Verborum:
http://www.wikicaad.net/Venenarius_Verborum
It's a game inspired by Ad Verbum by Nick Monfort; same premise,
slightly different story. So, not much to share here.
More in further days.
See you.

> Argumento (Best Story): Ofrenda a la Pincoya (Incanus)
http://www.ifwiki.org/index.php/Ofrenda_a_la_Pincoya
It's a fantastic and quite original adventure, unique in his context.
I want to highlight some bits of its profile:
"The chilota fishing creek is in dire straits. Fishes are scarce,
shellfish is gone and the coming storm could well destroy what little
is left to the fishermen. Lucho, a young fisherman, is willing to risk
his life to gain back la Pincoya's favour, so the creek may prosper
anew."
...
...
"Game makes extensive use of local spanish terms unique to Chiloé,
along with some Mapudungun (Chilean Mapuche ethnic language); in-game
AYUDA command and VOCABULARIO command allows access to complete
Vocabulary. Includes a PDF file (on Spanish) with information on
Chiloé, it's geography, history, culture and mythology, with
additional detail on the characters and mythical creatures appearing
on the story. "
It's a unique game, in ambiance, vocabulary and style.
Enjoy!

ALIEN is based on the series of films by Ridley Scott. So argument,
characters and behaviours are well known. The game exceeds in
production, handmade drawings, sounds and music; plus fair puzzles in
a well developed environment with some above the average NPC. It seek
set a creepy with the multimedia and ambient effects.
Just run the game to see the introduction deserves the time.

> Calidad Literaria (Best Writing): En una noche de invierno apareció el trapero cantando bajo tu ventana (Expio)
Is a short horror story fruit of the Spanish fast comp. Fortunately
enough the author just forget about the rules and limitations of that
comp and do whatever it pleases him. I don't know here in the fast
comp, but rarely that kind of comp gives such great microgames as the
past year, and this one is a truly gem, for me the best work of his
author.
Expio tends to make IF with high quality literature and ambiance, in
original settings of his own. In this case "One night of winter the
ragman appeared singing under your window", a happy woman, well
married, rich, with servants, and a beautiful child is visited by "el
trapero" (the ragman: a quite original incarnation of the traditional
sandman, the resent witch or whatever monster that grants a wish in
exchange of a pay; like the devil and his contracts for the soul), a
monster with head of a blank mannequin, shattered clothes, and a mouth
born in each finger. It gives the woman 5 heartbeats (just 5 turns) to
return the pay for the granted wish (solve the riddle). If not, it
will take away every loving thing in her life.

And finally "Sidra's Spirit". (Note about translation: Sidra, is, more
or less, the Spanish equal to the French Chagpane, it is obtained from
the fermentation of the apples). It's a puzzle feast in the
traditional sense. But it deserves to be the winner because is a
complete adventure game in all its length and glory, maybe something
we were wishing to play.
It's the story of a woman who awake in her bed without her lover to
her side. He has been kidnaped by a "Sumicio", a mythic being of a
Spanish region rich in myths and legends, called "Cantabria". The
woman will confront more mythical beasts between the eternal wars of
good vs evil. The shadow of a legend stands in the air, a legend of
the invasion of the Imperial Rome and the resistance of the "pueblo
Astur", guided by the magic of the druids.
The game features graphics per location, ambient music, and a
compendium of mythical beasts of that region, compiled in an in game
book called "Bestiarium Cantabrum".
