hi,
can anyone suggest something like itunes ( maybe itunes works) that
will trawl my hard drive and collect all the if games and present them
by title / author etc. and then hopefully send them to the interpreter
( gargoyle ? )

Blorple can scan a drive and its subfolders for IF games, display the
title, author, headline and cover if available:
http://blorple.sourceforge.net/
it only needs java to work.
