Stuck in Worlds Apart

i'm only in part one... i've done this game before like 5 years ago,
but i recently started playing it again and i'm so lost, haha.

but anyway, i've been stuck on this one part for a few weeks now. i've
basically explored everywhere, entered the shelter, etc. entered the
globe and freed the feral. now the only thing left is the tugging
feeling by the fountain. the hints inside said to get the wayfinder in
the shelter, but i've looked EVERYWHERE in the shelter, and i
seriously cannot find the wayfinder. please don't tell me this is
because of some mistake i made earlier in the game with the wayfinder
when we first had it. i'm pretty sure the description said that it was
dropped. but i can't seem to move forward from here without it, except
i can't find it!!!

also, because of this issue, i've done the game again several times.
one thing i just noticed -- i didn't try dreamdrawing inside haven in
the chaos area. is that going to be an issue later on?

I was stuck there forever too. The wayfinder is definitely in the
shelter. It's hidden. There is very vague hint about where it's
hidden, but I totally missed it. If you're still stuck, let me know.

okay, yes... this is several years later! i was still stuck there, and i'm trying again... and still stuck. help, please!! anyone!

to clarify (same OP), i'm in the shelter. i've examined just about everything, even the reeds. i took all that i could from the storage cabinet. i've lit and unlit the fireplace. i've found the control panel and turned the intensity dial all levels. coverage dial doesn't seem to work. and i still can't get through the blue web strands either.

what am i missing here? where's my wayfinder?

nevermind! i finally made it... after accidentally trying to dig around the cabinet :)
