It's mostly just a bug-fix release, with some better cluing around the
major puzzles. But true warriors will want to know that their strategy
may have to change a bit in a few circumstances, slightly with the
pufferfish, more so with the no-longer-randomly attacking piranha.
(Note: Damage dealt when wearing the gauntlet has been slightly
recalibrated). There is also a hidden power-up, and at last, players
can unlock the secret 240-point ending -- I am hoping that it won't
disappoint.
The new version has been sent to the archive, in the meantime, you can
download it from my site, which this evening is running even slower
than the archive it seems, here:

Hahah...
Yeah, that may have saved my sanity.
"WHY, ANGLERFISH?!? WHAT DO YOU WANT!!??"
My wife would have been curious.
I was up to trying to beat the kid for his bike and see if that did
anything.

Pufferfish I figured out.
Piranha is getting me, though. I can only get a max of about 12 points, I
think. I have a couple more combinations to try out, but too sleepy to do
it right this second.
He gets to live, for now...
If anyone figures out how to beat the toothy devil, I'd appreciate hearing
that particular trade secret.
One question about game design, though: is the hidden power up needed to
win, or is it just something cool to find? In other words, do I have to
start back over and replay from beginning and search around all sorts of
things or is it better to keep my save at the Piranha?
I managed to get him. You don't have to go back to anything prior.
Read the messages that go with your actions very carefully. There's a
hint in there.
If you want a complete answer, drop me an email.

It is something you need to find to get the highest score, but it
isn't something you need to go back to the beginning to find -- stay
where you are.
The power-up was included to decrease the amount of resting you need
to do in the later fights.
Also note that the text that displays when you (successfully) pick up
the gauntlet has changed.

I solved it. I had actually done something very similar, but I committed the
classic IF blunder of ACTION as opposed to ACTION PREPOSITION OBJECT.
Thanks, though.
The secret was well worth it, for what short glorious time it lasts. By the
time you get it, you very much so want to use it.
I noted a couple of other bugs that I will list below. Nothing fatal (well,
one WAS fatal but in the way that usually mean, heh):
For everyone else, there are some SPOILERS implied here so I will make a
brief warning:
SPOILERS
SPOILERS
SPOILERS
SPOILERS
If you type REMOVE (and/or GET...I forget which one I used) HANDLE FROM
MOUTH it tells you that the handle is not in the mouth. If you type "GET
HANDLE" then it talks about getting the handle from the mouth.
If you type "remove gauntlet", it for some reason replays out the scene of
the piranha attacking you (if the piranha is alive). This killed me, which
was just as good because I'm not sure if I would want to live after another
bite to my left eye...
heheheh
