I imagine at the higher levels of Go, you start to see even more real-
life situations as Go concepts?
I noticed this more and more as I played Go a lot. Work situations,
business decisions, personal problems, they all seemed to present
themselves like a game of Go. I had the fortune to meet Catalin Taranu
four years ago at a Go camp in Romania. I asked him if he also felt
that life started to appear like a game of Go. He said very much so,
and that he sees practically everything in that way and cannot help it!

Spending a lot of hours on something tends to do that, whether it's
Grand Theft Auto, chess, or Go.

Life is so much richer than a game of Go. In the other direction, Go is
full of details that have nothing to do with life in general.

That doesn't matter much as long as you're alive
and the car right of you has the same colour as your's.

Of course. For example, if I'm faced with charges,
I usually don't defend myself but instead launch a
counter-attack.

Go is a game of perfect information. Real life events are not perfect
information. And in any remote accuracy - with skepticism - that you could hope
for ours version of "perfect information" is from astrology. The reflection of
go into real life situations is just a metaphor. Any further manifestation than
that the person may needs psychiatry attention.
My best reflection of go into real-life would be a balanced ecological system -
you can definitely find examples for seki, ko, capturing races and L&D
situations. Go-Safari, anyone?
I play the "tree" in my safari. My seeds will dominate the field. I fear no
creature or element.
You make a striking point: I saw her as an enemy - the opposite color!
Hopefully, you did pass the truck?
Sure, he can "nobi" to the left! After all, if he did not pass the
truck then who'd had composed this thread?
I've sometimes thought about a life situation and unconsciously
thought of a parallel go situation involving similar strategic or
tactical issues. Common ones would be sente, aji, furikawari, miai,
oba, damezumari, korigatachi and sabaki. I've also sometimes been
unable to remember afterwards if I was thinking about the go situation
or the life situation.

Be interesting to see tewari in those circumstances. They most probably do not
make sense in the life situation.
Always hane at the head of two cars !
Can a beetle match the strength of two trucks? Wait, but where are other
beetles???
otoh, hane at the head of two trucks may require different timing.
I once played a 7d and I felt like I had a heavy building above me.
Also a girlfriend once made me feel a big truck running me.
Go has the same basic instincts that life has: life, death and
territory. Go, however, can help you understand those concepts easily
(although some direct experience is always required).
