Do what you must. But I think your energies would be best directed to
reporting that retard to his ISP and not plonking those of us who spew
a little fire in his direction.
just my opinion.
Dear Sir and/or Ma'am,
In reading your repeated posts about the game Hybrid,
I've noticed a consistent pattern. You take an example
from one source, and assume it is the norm across multiple
sources if not the entire genre, then fail to recognize
the difference between an assumption and a data point.
Assuming something is such a way does not change the
exception into the rule. Furthermore, mathematics is a
very unforgiving science when errors are made; any mistake
in your data may be amplified in further calculations until
the resulting answer bears no resemblence to the correct
answer.
Please cease spitting and pointing your feet at us. Go
learn the basics of non-circular reasoning.

Except that with him, flames are utterly ineffective. As such, you are
simply adding to the problem.
Responding to the troll in any way, shape, or form helps the troll. In the
vast majority of your posts to this newsgroup, you help the troll. In
effect, you have become a sub-troll. I don't *want* to killfile you, but I
will if you don't stop.
Now: do you care? Probably not. But warning you seems like the honorable
thing to do.

And what of Blackberry? He takes the time to post lengthy replies to
the little idiot and takes up even more space than those of us who
just tell off Hybrid--Boy.
Blackberry and the troll are the same person (and if they aren't, they may
as well be). Even so, both of his user IDs got a warning before he was
killfiled, too.
Now, in a perfect universe, I could simply killfile any message with the
word "Blackberry" in it. That would take care of the majority of the troll's
messages, and the majority of the responses to him, as well. Sadly, I have
tried numerous newsreaders, and the one I like best (Outlook Express) does
not allow killfiling by message content, only by header content.

That's a less than perfect universe. After all, what about a message where
someone wants help designing his character, who has a secret ID of famous
baseball player Errol Blackberry?
What you want is for your newsreader would read all the messages before you
see them, immediately know which ones you want to see, and only pass those
on to you.

I think you are on to something! Or on something... ;)
At the moment, I'd be happy with filtering by message content. The
telepathic heuristic predictive filters can wait until *next* month.

No, it's not always the case, but once in a while it's true
which is what I've stated. If you either misunderstand me
or misunderstood what I've posted or stated, then their
some problem in communication in my part or you did not
take the time to read what I've written carefully & mis-
understood in the process which I have little control over.
With the exception of '86 MU TSR rpg, lot of rpgs out there
are somewhat similar ; although, you need to understand
them to see this. I do not claim to understand lot of rpgs,
as I'm in the process of learning them, so to as to figure
out the similarities between them & my made up rpg Hybrid.

The only words in your post that I liked were "non-circular
reasoning" & the bit about mistakes in math amplifies errors
which is true which is why I'm taking the time to read other
rpgs so that I'm more accurate as to the which parts of those
rpgs are similar to my made up rpg Hybrid.

'A little fire'.. that would be alright, even tolerable. But responding to
every single post with 'idiot' or some other one/two-word response is just
as pointless as the post it responds to. This is not a case of a little
fire. This is more of a constant barrage of mini molotov cocktails.
And believe me, it is more irritating than the original posts, in that
while it makes perfect sense, it's even more of a waste of time to read. If
you feel that you must respond to him in this manner, try emailing
personally.

No, that's not true else I wouldn't have to
buy multiple different rpg to figure out where
the similarities lie between them & Hybrid.
And, when I use the term "between them", I don't
always mean between 2 or more published rpgs but
features in them that are similar to Hybrid.
Example, I had previously stated that the feature
"Maxing Out" in Aberrant rpg also exist in Hybrid
rpg, as well as the feature of "Taint" of Aberrant
rpg. But, for "Taint", it works in reverse magnitude
or order in Hybrid, meaning the less Quantum a 'nova'
has in Hybrid the more "Taint" he or she gains, less
"Taint" with more Quantum ; or, in another words,
reverse or opposite that of Aberrant rpg. So, not
everything is similar to Hybrid or even between
other rpgs, as the term "Taint" is not used in
Champions or Fuzion, as far as I know but then
again I'm not well versed in either Champions or
Fuzion so then I could be wrong about "Taint"
feature of Aberrant rpg not existing either Champions
or Fuzion or maybe not. But, if you use "Taint" as a
shape-shifting power stunt, meaning a 2nd default form
other than form he or she was born with, such as for
the MU character 'Mystique', then "yes" "Taint" in
Hybrid rpg works similar to "Taint" in Aberrant rpg.
Neat, isn't it ?
Report him for what? His posts are nominally topical for a super
hero RPG forum, if he's used an occasional insult or vulgar word he
can cite plenty of examples of being on the recieving end first.
Unfortunately he's managed to stay well shy of doing anything beyond
being annoying, which isn't grounds for killing an account.
>Neat, isn't it ?
No.
Report him for posting nonsense motivated solely by a desire to waste
people's time and pollute the forum. If I went to a history forum and
made long, incoherent posts about historical figures who never
existed, just to sucker people into meaningless exchanges, they would
have the right to ban me.
The troll has contributed nothing to the forum. He's like a guy who
casually drops offensive comments like "Rape victims really enjoy it,"
into conversations just to see if he can upset people. It's his idea
of a joke, something with which to nourish his delusions of
intellectual superiority; he as much admitted this to me a year or so
ago, when posting under a previous name.
This is the joke: make reference to a nonexistent RPG and try to draw
people into a discussion of its merits, then get progressively more
illogical and inconsistent, and see how long you can get others to
take you seriously. Score points whenever one of your obvious hints
that you're just screwing with them goes right over their heads.
Demonstrate how stupid RPG and superhero fans are by getting them to
treat your ravings seriously.
That's it. There's nothing deeper. The troll worships the ancient
god "Jusfuqinwitcha" and these are its rituals of worship.
So please, Bunny and everybody else, do not respond in any way, other
than to warn some new poster. The troll will never leave, so just
ignore it and don't let it damage the forum.
I wasn't referring to RPGs, Hitesh. I was talking about the way
you treat source material, i.e. comic books.
I have no objection to his being exiled to a zone of no one
responding. I do think it's a futile effort to try and get his ISP to
pull his plug. They can find threads of discourse between C++ and
others, enough to make any such pleas look like sour grapes from some
folks here.
That said, now and again, he does ask legitimate questions. And
that's the problem. If he does make a statement or question I think
is legit and is something I can reply to, I probably will reply to it.
What's OAF in Champions ? There doesn't seem
to be any explanation that I can find as to
what it is, how it's used & how it functions.
And, secondly, I noticed lot OCV & DCV everwhere.
Besides combat, what purposed do OCV & DCV serve
& how dow it work & function ? Thanks.
And, as for off topic, I like to mention a
correction regarding an earlier post on COM
& EGO in Hybrid that being, in Hybrid rpg,
COM = EGO^(1/2) + ([EGO^(1/2)]/2) ; but, this
doesn't necessarily mean that someone or
something with high COM would have high Psyche
or EGO, due doppler effect, meaning his/her/
its form could negate or reduced his/her/its
high EGO due to "Taint" or/and "Maxing Out",
terms from the Aberrant rpg. And, second typo
that I'd like to correct is #, number, of
dimensions, N, that the character or object
has access to = to [3*Log10(EGO)]. With, this
2 new corrections Hybrid rpg is now compatible
with both Aberrant & Champions. Not only that,
it greatly explains the events of MU during the
'80s Secret Wars, as well as how powers of DC
Spectre work. So, then, Phoenix's power level
in terms of her Psyche or EGO should be at her
pre-Phoenix or Marvel-Girl form, during her
initial membership into the X-Men where she
mostly had TP & some minor TK. And, since TP
is more condensed form of TK, then, logically
Marvel-Girl, if she changed or converted most
of her TP to TK, she could manifest her powers
similar to that of Phoenix & getting a power
boost as Dark Phoenix by Professor Xavier, where
then, the Danger Room like the Halodek of Star-
ship Enterprise of N.G.S.T. would or could
function similar to dimensional travel or create
a miniture universe, similar to world-building
Aberrant & GURPS rules, where Tech would be =
to [5*((Psyche or EGO)/10)^(1/2)]. Finally,
Warlock of MU should be at a higher power level
than Galactus, since most of MU gods seem
immobile while Warlock walks about making his
speech to L.T. AND, for reason that @ Power Gem
has power level = to about Shift Z or Class
500, compared to @ Soul Gem which has about
power level of C 50 Psyche or EGO, "'1/2' or
half value than previously stated", for reason
that the Kree Supreme Intelligence lost his
Soul Gem to the Silver Surfer during the '80s
Mu comics; so, in essence, Power Gem should
10x the # of points that the Soul Gem has in
terms of its Psyche or EGO, since the Silver
Surfer [ Norinn Radd ] is at C 75 EGO or Psyche.
So, then, One Above of All or entity more
powerful than L.T. would be about as powerful
as the MU Beyonder of '80s. This would then
place Galactus at C 50 Psyche or EGO, since
Dr Doom with his C 50 Psyche or EGO was an even
match for him. Then, S.S. or Silver with his
C 75 Psyche or EGO would be more powerful
than Galactus, if you place Galactus at power
level of Dark Phoenix of C 50 Psyche or EGO,
reducing Galactus's Psyche or EGO from C 3000
from '86 MU TSR rpg to C 50 from Stan Lee's
novel of Silver Surfer, as implied in S.S. novel
written by Stan Lee, where it's also implied
that Norinn Radd might be a parallel twin of
Professor Xavier from a parallel universe, as
both seem to not only look alike but also have
same ending C 75 Psyche or EGO. The other clue
is that both Galactus & Phoenix destroys alien
cultures & races while leaving MU earth alone;
so, in essence, both Phoenix & Galactus are
the real Heralds, meaning : S.S. creates other
Heralds like Firelord, also at C 50 Psyche or
EGO, in similar manner that Xavier
creates Onslaught & Dark-Phoenix [ implied ],
as well as maintain his desception or real
intent from the X-Men. So, then, since Thanos
is less powerful than S.S. but an even mathch for
Galactus, Thanos, too, like Dr Doom has C 50
Psyche or EGO. Using DC Darkseid's Anti-Life
Equation, one can derive the Dimensional Access
Equation, of [3*Log10(X)], where X = Psyche or
EGO, you can determine power level of Thanos.

O A F = Obvious Accessible Focus. Counter examples would be O I F
Obvious Inaccessble Focus, I A F Inobvious Accessible Focus and IIF
Inobvious Inaccessible Focus (plural of Focus is foci).
Foci are gadgets and gizmos and items and objects used by super
beings etc. Wonder Woman's Magic Lasso is an OAF. It's an obvious
source of super powers, and can be stolen in a single action by a
theif who catches the Amazon Princess off guard.
The object's cost in Power Points gets two reductions for being
both Obvious and Accessible. A device that has only one of these
problems such as a suit of power armor (obvious source of power, you
would need to work at stealing it from it's user however) (OIF) or a
belt that gives a character laser vision without any seeming
connection to the power would get half the reduction (IAF easy to
steal but no real reason to do so). Finally you can have a device
which neither appears to be power related nor is easy to take away (ie
wrist bands that just look to be deocative parts of the character's
costume). This gives a minor reduction in power cost, as there are
some unlikely but not impossible situations that could separate the
character from the devices.
The only reason he asks a "legitimate" question is to get someone to take the
bait and listen to his rants about Hybrid and the Great Comic Book Conspiracy.
Don't respond to him under ANY circumstances.
Captain Geek
PLONK
Well, Hybrid rpg has this ; but, it's call
tacyion residue globules, tacyion residue
crystals, anything with the first two words
being "tacyion residue", with the 3rd word being
anything that has mass in any form, whether it be
radiation or a leather belt; but, it's or 3rd word
is usually like radiation, globules, crystals,
liquid, gel, plasma, or polymer. Example, MU
Cyterrok & Amikron Crystals, or MU Soul & Power
Gem(s) or DC Kryptonite or the ring of Green
Lantern or Synestro, or a magic wan or a magic
carpet. All of these objects could be tacyion
residue, or OAF / IIF / OIF / or IAF. So, as I had
said last year, there are similarites between the
two rpgs, Hybrid & Champions but this is ignored.
Lastly, there was a typo in an earlier post
that being my attempt to equate COM & EGO, with
equation of COM = [1.5*EGO^(1/2)]. The correct
equation should be [(EGO^2)/2]. But, since, some
characters use half their EGO for magic or super
or/and advanced technology & isn't considered
part of their EGO, when it's used for technology,
equation for those instances might be rewritten
as either [((2*EGO)^2)/2] ; or, [((0.5*EGO)^2)/2],
when he's grossly exaggerated like Batman,
assuming Batman isn't at the same power level as
DC Aquamn Else at 20 otherwise at 10. The correction
which turned out to be a typo is a three dimensional
equation which would not work in dimensions less
than OR greater than three. So, the original
equation of COM = [((M*EGO)^2)/2] is correct,
where M = modifier between (1/2) & 2 ; but,
M = 1, usually if you take characters & objects
with no hidden agendas & properties. In another
words, Batman's EGO should NOT exceed 12.
Except if he is in Gotham City. In everyy comic Batman has stated to everyone
who tries to but in on the crime there that "Gotham is *MY* City! I say what
goes here."
So in Gotham City only Batman's Ego should be higher than 12.
G. D.
Anthony G. Dudzic
Yes, you are 100% correct ; but, I had placed
a clause stating that his EGO varies depending
on what type of DC universe that you are playing,
meaning if JLA exists in the DC universe that
you are running or reading & that Batman was
a member of that group & had cosmic adventures
either on, in or outside of DC earth then he
should get 18 EGO or Psyche Else 12, 6 for Robin.
