'psyche' = ('Psyche')^log('Psyche') , in Hybrid rpg.
THIS POST HAS DRIVEN ME TO INSANITY!!!!
I generally just lurk here, but JESUS man...where the *fuck* do you come

of my posts understand Hybrid rpg, using "Psyche" stat
from '86 MU TSR rpg for all other stats, powers,
popularity, health, karma, resources, skills, damage,
& background history ( disadvantages ), but no dice.

Not even a RPG. As a game, it is unplayable. There are no resolution

It's not that we don't understand - we just don't care. There are a
hundred or more RPG's in existence and all of them are better than
yours. That's a fact. If you took your "game" to any RPG company,
they'd laugh in your face.
If you want to be welcome on this newsgroup I would suggest buying a
book for another RPG and discussing it. Not asking random questions
about various systems... go out and BUY A WHOLE BOOK AND READ IT
FIRST. You aren't going to learn about an RPG from asking a few random
questions. You need to read the WHOLE BOOK before even trying to
understand it.
If you can't find a Champions book locally, you can probably buy a
used one online through Ebay or Yahoo auctions.
Since nobody understands it, you must be wrong.
No it isn't. Roleplaying games have people who roleplay in them.

The proportion isn't that high. In point of fact nobody has ever
figured what you have been talking about, probably not even you
since you have given several different and mutually conflicting equations
for the same thing.

Which is an incredibly dull and uninteresting idea.
It means all characters are exactly the same. There are
no clumsy strong characters, there are intelligent weak
charaters, no nothing.

1) We all understand it: it is total dreck.
2) It isn't a game. At best, it is a hideously convoluted method
for modeling comic book characters. Games invovlve rules on how
to PLAY them, which you haven't. Games include an explanation of
conflict resolution, ranging from the simple (Sorry: if your piece
lands on another, that piece is sent home) to the complex (Hero
System combat). Your game has none.
3) Games are played by people. Last time you were through here, you
admitted you had never actually played a role playing game. Unless
this has changed, you are an unlikely source of game systems.

dont even feed the troll by saying he has a game-he doesn't. Simpy a
bunch of formulaic blatherings he pretends is a game, that he repeats
to annoy others, as he has no life. Simply don't let him annoy you,
ignore him. Without regualr feedings of attention, he'll grow more
depserate, flood with posts, then stomp away.
I still say his inane postings are merely meant to anny the newsgroup,
and serve no constructive purpose--hopefully others will join my in

No, in Hybrid rpg, you need minimum of 1 or more persons to play, &
some interests in math, science, linguistics, or/and engineering : not
very good in those 4 things but I'm learning, it's a slow process.
It was intentionally done, not because I didn't understand the formula
that I was stating but that I was stating that there are different
alternate possibilites for magnitude for a characters' power(s)
depending on density of his/her universe & distance of object or person
that he/she was his/her power on. This is what Stan Lee probably or
might have done by creating illusion of retcons in MU by giving
different authors different assignments so readers would think that
there was or were a retcon(s) but there wasn't in fact, in fact there
were NO retcons - from my point of view, in either Marvel or DC comics,
the plot is brilliant in/from my view.

Not dull but very interesting because it reveals human psychology
which is what Stan Lee has been trying to do through his MU comics
for decades in my humble opinion. All characters same & not same
depending on his/her place in his/her hierarchy of things. Most
characters are clumsy since they act from a collective's point of view
rather than with an individual thought or opinion. There are few
intelligent weak characters, yes.
5 points of Psyche : if he's stuck or stranded on his home planet
10 points : if he joins the rebels
15 points : if he finds his sister
20 points : if he defeats Darth Vader
25 points : if he destroys a Death Star
30 points : if he defeats the Empire
But, now "Psyche" is exponential, not linear.
To get a linear value, you need to look at "psyche",
which is "psyche" = ("Psyche")^log("Psyche"). So,
for 20 Psyche = 20^log(20), psyche points. This is
why Psyche 6 = psyche 4, by 6^log(6) = 4, which is
value for a US President.
By this I do not mean that if defeats Darth Vader &
destroys a Death Star, he'd have 20+25 or 45 points.
No, that is not what I meant. What I meant is if has
a total of 20 points, defeating Darth Vader is most
he can do unless the Death Star did not have warp
capability. If a Death Star had warp capability then
Luke Skywalker could not destroy it for simple reason
of greater security; then, he'd need an extra 5 points,
that's with a capital letter not small letter "p", which
is linear scale while "Psyche" is an exponential scale
although it might seem the opposite regarding the 2 scales.
Your thing is NOT an rpg. Nobody has ever played it. Nobody will
ever play it. Nobody could play it.
Makes sense. Most madmen thought they were just "misunderstood".
Though if you're going to be insane *and* mathematically obsessed, you
should do something useful with those gifts, like discover some more
nonsymmetrical Bingo cards. (The last guy the company had doing that
*did* go nuts -- you're insulated from said fate).

Well, most of my friends are pretty close to being referred to as
genius although they're not money oriented so they're not famous as
their drawback, lost contact with them over the years due to their busy
schedule. As for me, I'm just trying to follow in their footsteps : my
only drawback is I like rpgs & cann't bench press my own weight. Only
resolution would be fuse or join the two : rpg that's math oriented,
say math because I don't like lab work.
Not intended as a flame, but you have another drawback: an inability to
communicate effectively in English. I think, before you start working on
writing an RPG for the English market, you should take some time and learn
to communicate more effectively. Just putting down an equation is not a Role
Playing Game. Explaining how that equation is used in the course of gameplay
is a step in the right direction. But it has to be explained clearly.

Interesting. This reminds me of Hero Wars' concept of Action Points (which you
bid to perform/succeed at actions, and which can increase or decrease depending
on situations) crossed with a physics textbook.
I certainly wouldn't want to play such a thing -- just because I don't think the
entertainment value I got out of it would be worth the brain power I put into it
just to resolve actions. I also doubt there'd be a market for it. But if
you're releasing it free, I'd probably glance at it.

I have a suggestion for you, especially if you ever want anyone else to desire
to play this system.
Change the name of either the Capital-P-Psyche or the lowercase-p-psyche to
something else -- Potential, Action Points, Karma, etc. Having two separate
ideas called the same thing but with upper and lower case distinctions is fine
for Unix filenames and higher math formulae, but it doesn't help in RPG rules.
