Amazing Paleo- Art/Costume Party Friday the 4th in NYC

We are a costume art and participatory theater collective that is
creating an absurdist vision of the paleolithic era this coming
Friday. We host infamous underground arts events, do a big float in
the NYC halloween parade and host a fashion camp at the burning man
arts festival and regularly reach out to diverse communities to find
new interest. With a surprising number of brainiac geeks as well as
sexy hipsters, ours is a unique arts collective with a broad age range
where everyone is young at heart... The below event was inspired by
the recent NYT article on those living "paleo lifestyles" and we would
like to invite anyone over 21 with a sense of humor in your extended
circles...

HORNED BALL #6 - Paleolithikk

Friday April 9th, 8pm to 5am

Kostume Kult's annual Spring ritual, featuring tribal beats, all night
dancing, interactive art, games and prehystorical absurdity in
partnership with Reality Sandwich and New York City's seething
underground.

Nigel Richards (PEX) and Fabian Alsultany (GlobeSonic/ Body Temple).

ARTISTS: A Collaboration by many creative people including Flora art
by Greg Skolozdra, Flying EL-Pterodactyls by Brooklyn Airdrome,
Prehystoric video by Metal Tiger and VJ Lenka, Cave painting by
Kritta, Photobooth by Joe Che, Mastadonia by Costume Jim, Dancers,
Hula-hoopers, Stilters and YOU creating whatever you might for this
interactive/ participatory arts event. (and more to be added soon)

DRESS: Horns, tusks, woolly mammal, dinosaur, troglodyte, urban
kaveman, or anything extinct. An annual spring bacchanal - the idea is
to wear horns of any type whether you want to play along with this
year's sub-theme or not. Springtime arrives and the animals come out
of hibernation!


FEATURING: Horn and prosthetic brow-ridge vending, cave & body
painting, drag your mate by the hair races, bison tartar, pin the tail
on the mastodon and anything else YOU might want to create... Dance
by the fire and bear yourself to the fertility goddess!

INSPIRATION: This year's subtheme was inspired by an article in the NY
Times entitled "The New Age Caveman in the City" about modern people
living "paleolithic lifestyles". Grunt.

BRING ART/ PROPS or VOLUNTEER? This is a large venue with many corners
to gussy and much room to play. We are seeking inspired and on-theme
sculpture and installation art that is colorful, black-light reactive
or otherwise noteworthy. There's multiple rooms including a large,
high-ceilinged main room with a stage and balcony. A good size bar
area and an unadorned side room so please let us know if you want to

VENUE: The Warsaw Polish National Home is a large event/ community
space and concert hall on the Greenpoint/ Williamsburg border close to
the Nassau Ave G train or about 15 blocks north of the Bedford Ave L
train stop on the other side of McCarren Park (walk straight up
Driggs) just off the McGuninness Blvd exit of the BQE. Great, relaxed
management, cheap drinks and the food is delicious. (especially at
